I've bought them from various sellers on Amazon and eBay. I haven't found any particular seller that has a better supply than anyone else. Even multiple units from the same seller won't necessarily test out the same. I usually buy five at a time and three or four are usable. May the odds be ever in your favor.
Is it ok to just replace 1 of the 2 power packs ? Would it affect the sound ? I ask because a tech is working on my Pioneer sx 780 and replaced just 1 pack out of 2 . He said the other is working fine .

It's fine to replace just one. I've never met anyone who can hear the difference between one good STK of a given model and another.
