    Quit my job to flip sh#t aswell. I like how you said dilly dally and unoptimise. Totally relate. Im in my first year, some weeks are fortnite and 3 bowls of cereal and 2 uploads. in one day next week is 3k in pawn shop finds op shop furniture hauls and auctions with 30 people rocking up to collect things from fb marketplace.
    Definitely will schedule stuff and find more suitable niches then these magic one off that keep me plotting along. Great video thanks alot.

      Hell yeah appreciate the comment and feedback. I think it's fine to test all options in how you source and run the business in that first year or two but after a while it makes sense to niche down a bit further to make your systems tight and save more time (or get more time back for other things). Thanks for watching champ

    Really inspired by your videos. With your clothing, do you find it's better to have a 'buy it now' price or auction? How did you get over nerves of spend money to make money when you started out? Cheers

    • @DrewDTrott
      @DrewDTrott  Год назад

      Hi Michelle, everything is sold using Buy It Now. The majority of what we sell are everyday clothing brands that won’t move or get bids from auctions.
      So we regularly run sales and reduce the price overtime to keep the stock flow happening.
      We started with zero money and with a lot of personal debt, we found free books on Facebook and built everything from there using the profits from those sales.
      Over time we niched down just into clothing to make the business more scalable (as outlined in this video) and have never had to use any outside money from savings or loans to fund the business.
      It has literally all been built from free items. My advice would be not to spend too much, or any, of your own money when starting out until you’re comfortable with all of the processes from sourcing, listing, shipping, cash flow etc

      Exactly right, and it’s incredibly hard to work out that time when every day is a new mission starting from zero, that’s why niching down has helped so much - every day is the same process. Appreciate all your help and support Ethan

      It’s pretty easy to get caught up in the grind, I did that a lot, but you can’t help your business or those around you if you’re not taking care of yourself first and foremost. Gotta get that balancing act right to maximise the day. Appreciate the comment and support homie

    Solid stuff mate. The concepts are all so simple, it’s the execution and reps which make it hard. You should be so proud dude as you have clicked and enabled the snowball to start rolling with momentum! So many value points here! 🙏🏼 thanks for inspiring us all!!

    • @DrewDTrott
      @DrewDTrott  Год назад +1

      Thanks Chris, I think the simpler everything can become increases the odds that more money and opportunities can come through the door. I’m still a novice at this game but thought it would be helpful if I had this video 2 years ago when I started. I’ve come to learn I love operating more than shopping and couldn’t have grown this much without using all 4 of these tips simultaneously. Obviously my style of running eBay isn’t for everyone but these tips are all universal for small business owners in my opinion. Glad you enjoyed this one bud 💜

    Great video Drew. I’ve done the same in terms of efficiency but run at a lower scale. Love the reverse engineering.

    • @DrewDTrott
      @DrewDTrott  Год назад

      Thanks for the comment Sam, the best part is the efficiency allows for the scale. There’s so much more I want to do each day in terms of personal routines so finding that sweet spot for how much work can/should be done with accurate times has been the biggest change for me.

    Well presented Drew, so very true and takes most of us a few goes around to block to find a said niche or recognise over time that niche has changed for us or by the sellers. Loving this new format, looking forward to more vid's 😊

    • @DrewDTrott
      @DrewDTrott  Год назад

      Love the feedback for this type of video, not as easy to try and be concise compared to how I use to film running around vlogging all day so appreciate the input. For the niche section in my opinion it’s more the fact of knowing what NOT to do or buy and being strict with what enters your store. I’m sure there are plenty of other ways of operating a successful store but keeping things to 1 category keeps someone like myself with a frantic brain a little more focused and organised. So glad you enjoyed the video, many more to come 💜💜
