I’d like to see some more Dirt 5.
Do some NASCAR on iracing, especially Talladega, Daytona, and Charlotte
I would love to see more of this, this is fantastic!
I like the after-commentary. Commentating during the heat of more-professional racing isn't something I'm too fond of, plus your ability to highlight important details during the race that I may have missed is good.
I'm a single voice on the internet, but I would like to see your iRacing career continue past the charity race.
Pro tip: Always have the Relative black box up when racing. That way you can tell who you're racing and who you're not. This is a lot more important than it appears.
yess... you NEED relative box open at all times. The relative helps with seeing how close people are to you on track, be it either 10 seconds away, 3.0 seconds or 0.1 seconds (basically next to you at that point).
Also helps with identifying slow or crashed cars infront which may surprise you when you come around a corner at high speeds. The spotter isnt always on point and neither are the yellow flags.
Yeah he does that now, his first few races he left it on standings but we got him to change it on stream eventually :D
Yessss You play a serieus racing game! I have waited to long for this....
okay Mr iracing genius man when can we get car testing for this game k thanks
Lol
be patient!
I really enjoyed that! I would prefer a mix of live reactions and commentary. This looks like it takes a lot of focus so I am not sure how live reactions would go. Probably no chat reading for one.
EDIT:
I watched some of your live stream and the live reaction stuff worked pretty well when you had your friends talking to you.
Brophy! Its about time! I'm a 12 year veteran of iRacing, and about a 5 year youtube subscriber of yours. I can't describe how happy this series will make me! Some helpful tips: 1. You are given a 1x penalty for getting 2 tires off of the racing surface at the same time, not 1 tire. Contact penalties will range from 0x for light contact, to 4x for semi light to hard contact depending on how the computer is feeling on any given day. Penalties are given to both parties regardless of fault. 2. Explore your Function keys (F1 to F12) These keys will change your black box and give helpful information during the race, such as lap times, standings, and later on, adjustments that can be made both in pit land and in the car. 3. You may find commentating during a high stress race much harder than you anticipate. I think we would all like to see you do your best, but being in the "moment" with you has its rewards too. Do what works for you and the viewers will adjust. 4. Reach out to the community on the forums if you want a custom paint scheme. There are quite a few of us who would love to work for you.
Can really see you as a sim-racer! Can't wait to see more of this sort of content. Personally, I'd like to see and hear a live reaction during the race, perhaps with commentary over the quieter moments.
That was enjoyable. I'd say keep making a voiceover for these kind of videos so we dont have too much silence from you during more difficult races.
I’m impressed how much information on iRacing he already knows. I’ve had iRacing since 2013 and he’s sounds like he knows just as much as I do in 7 years
I'd prefer the retroactive Broughy commentary and explanations, but understandable that it's easier to upload the raw footage of the racing and yourself.
You do you, matey. And GG on the win!
I have bee watching you for years sir, and have been impressed with your driving , but this was above and beyond good.
Please continue with your career in iracing, i do believe you will benefit and so will we; your loyal fans.
Thank you Broughy.
Been waiting a while for you to make your way on iRacing. I know you’ll absolutely love it. So fun to play.
Welcome to iRacing, Sir. You're now driving with the big boys. And girls. And maniacs. Noobs. Pros.
Have a good one!
Definitely want to see more! Knowing you your journey will be pretty entertaining, and I'd specially enjoy the first licenses' iRacing content like you will do at first. There's not a lot of proper videos of the first racing licenses around, mostly high end stuff instead.
Happy you're giving the more serious stuff a try again!
Pleeeeeeeeaaaassssee continue Brough as a fellow proper racer (albeit without a racing kit😢) I enjoy these types of racing!
Nice one! I've picked the game up the last couple of weeks and haven't scored my first win yet, so good going!
At 16:30 you were along side and he was supposed to give you space
I agree, Brough was there, and the guy just kept moving to the outside and pushed him off the track, terrible track manners from the dude. Good thing karma ended up getting him tho
@@gavinwinkler1147 that was the best instant karma I've ever seen
he doesn't need to, cuz at that point the overtaker has the racing line. rules of racing explain this.
@@DV8Rx that's still not an excuse to shove him off the track instead of having a battle for first
@@DV8Rx He wasn't ahead enough for that to apply. Can't dive in and push the guy off track for overtaking
Bro like a year ago I commented on a gta5 vid saying you're driving skills might get you places in life. You might be the next iracing champion. This vid was cool to see ✌
The best way to make series out of a serious racing game is exactly how SuperGT does it. Do what he does and add your own personal touch.
The R in Adam R Brough stands for Rapid. Sweet vid.
GG, also nice to see you enjoying some other racing stuff once again :D
Another option would be to do what Matt Malone does with his iRacing RUclips videos: Plays the full race, unedited with no post-production commentary added. But he does a live reaction after the race of any incidents or moments (even ones he's not involved in) via the iRacing replay system. The only things he adds in in post are split-screens with other angles. But that's only occasional, if it adds to the story on the race.
Looking forward to more! I heard you talking about it on your podcast and became interested
I think having live commentary while you're racing with post-commentary in the replays would be cool. Good luck on iRacing!
Definitely want to see more of iRacing! I would prefer the post race commentary, but I think some of both would be great. I would also like to make a suggestion to have the replay camera on the top left corner when you're not showing replays.
More sim racing content is NEEDED! I look forward to seeing your progress!
GG on your first of many iRacing wins, Brough.
Yes! Really enjoyed your GTSport races so this should be great!
More please. I love proper racing from you :D
I ended up here looking for this kind of content because I just did my very first race this evening. Qualified 6th. Wiped out on the first corner. Then went from 12th to finish 4th basically by driving clean and not crashing. Quite nerve racking but that I think is one of the challenges of online racing, to keep calm and collected :)
Good luck with it!
Congrats! This was awesome. Cant wait to watch more.
Did anyone else try to clean their monitor?
Hello Broughy, I don't unsually comment but now is the time i guess lol
Yes i would like to see more iRacing on this channel, it's the perfect channel for this (and gfreds but that's a whole other category :P).
I'm already watching Joshimuz whenever he does iRacing (and rages and crashes :D)
Anyway please more iRacing :)
Good job Broughy. I enjoy watching serious racing, was sad when you ended GT Sport. Both live streaming and summary videos are entertaining.
This adds good diversity to the GTA entertainment you provide.
Congrats on your first race and your first win!!!
Woooooo yeah, babayyyy, That's what we've been waiting for!
-Charlie AKA Critikal
Enjoyed this nice change of pace. Wonder if anyone in this race saw the last random all race and just thought it's best to get out the way lol
Absolutely love this! I’ve wanted to try iRacing and have been nervous because I’ve never seen the early stages of it. Hopefully I can get a PC soon and try it
Oh wow, didn’t think I’d see this. I’m into it
Gg on your first race win would love to see more...
Man, I'm all in for this iRacing journey 👌👌
So happy that you finally simrace.
Yesss. Super hyped for this series!
looking forward to the series, would defo prefer live commentary. Good frist race!
Experienced iRacing drivers always say to focus on being as clean as possible over worrying about positions what so ever until you get out of rookies, lest you become stuck in rookie hell. As we can see from this video, bad driving from other drivers bumping/ramming you will impact your safety rating too.
I enjoy your commentary, please continue to do it in future videos.
Welcome to iRacing Broughy! I've gone through to A Class in Oval, but I'm looking to put more effort into the road stuff, so I hope to see and race with you in the future trying to work towards A Road!
This is excellent. I personally like this type of commentary over live comments, but I think a mix of both would be the best.
Now we just need random-all and gfred for iRacing. Also need some serious iRacers trying out gta racing.
I enjoyed watching this and the commentary was good
Retroactive commentary is good - if you have the time. And I spent waayyy too long trying to clean your bug off my own monitor...
You handled the pressure really well... one could almost say you exhibited a Nonchalant Dominance....
Nice racing Broughy!
Looks like it could be a good series. I'll watch.
Awesome. Looking forward to this series.
Suggestion: mirror the race face cam, so the wheel turning matches what we see on the screen.
Gt sport was 2 years ago wtf, im looking forward to this series big time
this was very enjoyable to watch, you should get H shifter as well
Hey Broughy, that's how I imagine the best format for these videos:
The biggest part of the race footage should be from the replay, with only the TV cameras and onboard cameras, but no views from first person. You then commentate over what's happening. Sort of TV style. Especially the Gyro cam and wheel cams are excellent.
Then, when there are tense moments, or for some replays, you cut to the live recorded first person view, along with your face in it and let past you do the talking.
Don't forget to include a cool super slow mo shot of you flying over a curb anywhere. While nothing interesting is happening maybe you could host a little fake interview with Nos, e.g. when somebody crashes out prematurely I'm sure he could pretend to be that driver and deliver some exquisite content. Then do a picture-in-picture while you're chugging off laps in the background. And show the crashes of other drivers. Everybody loves crashes.
I don't know if somebody else is doing that format, I've literally not watched any iRacing videos except Josh's livestreams.
This was very enjoyable! GG! Looking forward to more. Re. the question of post-race commentary or in-race commentary, I think you should go for whatever you find more comfortable. I'm a little concerned that you could put yourself at a disadvantage racing against people who don't have to talk while racing! There are advantages to both.
Pretty hectic race that one!
Damn excited to watch this series.
GG Broughy - but that takeout from the 3rd place guy ... Not sure that's ever happened in F1!
Very happy to see this :)
Very much enjoyed this.
Very cool brough!!
Good vid. Nice change-up.
I started iracing 1.5 years ago. I also came for the road racing. However, I have stayed for the oval racing. Trust me, check it out.
Once you're able to compete on the higher levels, you better get at least one NASCAR race for us Americans
Broughy, live commentry would be good, as long as you can consentrate more on your driving than having to give a live commentry. This is more about watching a good racer and decent race. Either way, it'll be a great journey to watch
*16:30* The no. 8 car didn’t leave you room, and ran ya off the track Broughy.
Hey I really enjoyed it! :)
Finally you are stepping it up
You starting to get down in the simracing rabbit hole....which isn't a bad thing.
So by your description of the mechanics of licence, you can get A class licence by driving carefully and finishing last in every race.
When you get out of Rookies I highly highly recommend you spend some time in Skippies. They are a great way to learn the tracks, they're popular, and they make for some awesome close racing. Spending a season racing in Skippies can go a long way to getting comfortable in iRacing.
Skippies? Is that the Skip Barber cars?
@@CoachWargo yes, Skippies is just a common nickname for them.
Wow yes please more of this
As a viewer I would much prefer if you'd set the steering wheel to be visible in-game, so it's easier to see how much steering input you are making. But otherwise, gg. Keep it up
Ive been really wanting to get into iracing
Oh shit...he's stepped into the world of iRacing.
I think this will be an awesome journey Broughy! I am curious will you try and race all different kinds of cars like NASCAR, sports cars, IndyCars, etc?
Thats a T300 you got right? If you don't have the pedal set that has the conical rubber brake mod i would strongly advise to look into that. Helps out a bunch to get your braking consistent.
OMG BROUGHY OH YES MATE
Cool series, and it's definitely better if you do live commentary (on stream), although post comms are nice too
I hope you'll get to the A license, i would love to see the entire journey.
I think that you should talk about the race after you do it, talking while racing can distract you and that will add to your lap time
Finally lmao. Been subbed but dont watch any GTA stuff. Wondered like 3 years ago when you would play iRacing finally. There's no other choice if you want multiplayer racing.
That looked like a cat and mouse move to me he was aiming to take that guy out
16:25 i think at this point he should at least give you a little bit of space, he squeezed you of track
Now... Do some stock car racing. (Oval racing/NASCAR). Your respect for these drivers will skyrocket
Live commentary is the way to go :)
Buy the NASCAR Cup car and give the Carburetor Cup a go, it's a mess and a whole different beast from road course racing
Yes oval racing is really fun! !
I purchased iracing for the road racing. I stayed for the oval racing.
You should one day make an F1 2020 video someday and other iRacing and GTA 5 videos
I would like Commentary like you did in this video
make sure to use the relative black box, it shows u all cars around u. Its important when u are lapping cars or racing in a multi class race
spoiler alert, this is exactly how the endurance race is going atm
i liek the bit wen car go brrrm brrrm brrrrrrm
Someone's been watching Super GT videos 👀
Love it you and jimmy should race
0x hits in the top dont mean you lose SR. It just means contact was made, nothing else.
1x, 2x and 4x are the ones where you lose SR... maximum amount before DQ is 17x per race or something like that, if you get less than 50% and you finish the race then you will most likely gain SR instead of losing it despite having some incidents.
But if you crash out (and usually get 4x as a result) and immediately quit, then you will always lose SR for sure.
SR gains are based on clean driving so the more laps you complete without getting any incident points will give you rating.
And that is directly stacked up against the incidents you did gain in a race and the end result is either positive or negative.
ps. when you hit 1.00, 2.00, 3.00 or 4.00 SR in both ways (going down or going up) it will bump your SR with a bonus of 30 (or something similar) to keep you from easily losing and gaining licenses if you hover around those numbers since having too low SR will make you lose your license and access to certain cars. (D, C, B and A licenses after you get out of Rookie. Each have different series available, for example the F1 car requires A-license. License are very easy to gain and keep but its just a progression thing for new players and also punishment for people who continuously ram others... also A-class cars usually require higher skill than lower since they are faster. Not that license equals skill but atleast you have to drive a little bit before you are allowed to drive the fastest vehicles in official sessions)
Omgg! Yess broughy!
16:20 the other guy should have left You more room on the outside. But You all three were not consistent, maybe all rookies. Later when You will race more experienced drivers, Your move will be legit. You need better than 4.0 to advance Your licence on the spot, it is called licence fast track. >3.0 will work between week13 and first week of new season (once a season). And in opposite directions as well,
