That piano skill took time and effort just keep trying and you could eventually be better than him if you really wanted to just don’t give up no matter how hard it gets. It might seem to get hard to where you can’t even get past a piece but just keep trying and you’ll get past that obstacle, their will be more walls for you to pass but you can do it.

I love this version and how this is recorded because it simply just shows how raw and real this is. It's not hidden studio editing or autotune etc. This is Tyler, real and raw.

I was making a least best to best list of the songs on No Phun Intended. I was listening to the songs as I wrote why they might've gotten this place. This song is third from being the best on my opinion list. Here's what I wrote: The production quality isn’t the best. So you might be wondering why it’s so high on this list. Despite that, this song hit hard. Also the less obvious religious part of it with “he is strong and I’ll live another day”. Which by now in this list you know I have a bias against. Despite all of that. The other lyrics are phenomenal, Tyler’s emotion, and performance is beautiful, the noises accompanied are wonderful. Also I know I’ve been using all of these words a lot, but in this song I mean it twice as much. It’s not perfect, but that fact makes it perfect in my eyes. It also has a few lyrics from “Ode To Sleep” on Vessel. The lyrics mean so much to me minus that one religious line, that actually isn’t so bad since you can’t tell and since it could definitely mean something completely different, that’s the beauty and wonder of Tyler. That part is also just sung so beautifully. I could praise this song all day I love it so much. This song has a charm to it. A beauty to it. I adore this song, I love this song, and like I said before It’s far from perfect, but in my eyes, just is from the way it makes me feel to the way it’s put together. This is the one I wrote the fastest and now I'm sad because I need to move to the next song and won't be able to listen to this song on loop anymore, but still. It's not hip hop but it's not trying to be. Rap is just a certain manner of vocal performance, not a genre. There can be bad rap, but no such thing as "real" or "fake" rap.
Tyler himself says he doesn’t want to be considered a rapper and if youve ever written a poem you’ll know why. Poems can be incredible lyrics but they’re really hard to incorporate unless you say them really fast, like rapping. “This is not rap this is not hip hop just another attempt to make the voices stop”

I spend so much time on my phone just to make the days feel a bit different. edit: a year later, and i still feel the same. edit: still a year later, probably going on two years now. i still feel the same. i can't sleep, i stay up. everything is so mundane and i'm caring about myself less and less. no appetite. overslept every day this week and i disregard homework. i hope i can look into the future and see myself in three years happier, with my friends. they all live in other states but i swear i'll make it through these next three years, keep my grades up and save money to see them. maybe i'm only maintaining my wellbeing and grades for online friends right now, but at least i'm doing it. i'll update whenever i come across this video again.
