@@keyamcdowell7180 yesss I forgot to mention I added a cupful of apple cider vinegar per the instructions. That's a good routine to have every month. I need to make it a habit.
No frizz all shine baby 💛💛. I'm so happy I got the notification this time. I haven't gotten them in a while. Thanks for the count and night time routine. Yes, last time I took perm rods out they were fine. When I separated them I got frizz. I will have to try again 😑. Beautiful as always 💛
I did a flexi rod this week for the first time on my natural hair and was surprised my hair was fully dry in an hr. I used mousse and didn’t even spray my hair with water because my hair usually takes forever to dry. It came out so good and I was surprised my hair came out so smooth. I though my hair was going to have my natural curl with little parts stretched randomly 🤭 I use to use them when I was relaxed but was scared to do it on my natural hair. I used the purple ones. Your hair turned out so good
You weren’t lying when you said frizz free. My only question is where did you get the flexi-rods? My hair is long and I need a long flexi-rod but could only find the thin purple ones.
I'm trying so hard to get that thick consistency because mine is usually loose and I wind up looking like a terracotta soilder when I'm done 🤣🤣. This is my absolute favorite line and it's been hard for me to use anything else because nothing else works for my hair like this one does. Your curls are amazing 🥰🥰. She's so adorable ❤❤.
Terracotta Soldier!!?? I'm done!! There was a time when I would never think I could do any type of roller set. You got this! Practice with larger sections, that's what I did. Thanks for watching!
Thank you so much! She's growing too fast! I'll be making another video this week so I will definitely let you see how it's holding up so look out for that!
That's a great question as my hair gets longer I prefer flexi rods because I run out of room on the small perm rods and it becomes harder to set. The small blue ones were my fav but it becomes a chore now to get my hair to fit on the rod. So I've switched to the small yellow flexi rods as a dupe. But I love them both.
@@JasColoredCurls So after many failed roller sets, I finally put all of your tips to use and got a successful roller set. The key, for me, was making sure my hair is fully dry 🤦🏽♀️ I would usually abandon the dryer when I got to about 90% dry! Now, I’m hoping to get at least 4 good days with this style… thanks so much ❤
I've done perm rods but never flexi rods. I think I have PTSD from a straw set I did back in the day. It was such a long and tedious process that even though I liked the results, I never did it again. The more I see you do them, the more I want to try. They can't be any worse than those dag-gum straws. LoL
Definitely easier than the straws trust me!! I've never gone back to those either lol. Try larger sections with less rods, those are Definitely quicker sets and easier to sleep with. Thanks for watching!!
It is absolute wizardry how you get your curls to last like this. Smh. Bc HUH?!?!?!? Every time I try to flip my hair forward and wrap with a scarf and sleep on my side I get up to let the scarf down the very next morning day 2 and every single one of them on the sides is crushed flat and so are the curls in the back! I end up applying more product to revitalize those areas which then makes the curls that did survive the night look messier by comparison somehow and then I give up smh! Maybe it's bc you have WAY more density than I do??? Perhaps your thickness aids in the resilience of your styles??? My hair has a fairly decent length to it, it's past my shoulders, but it's very thin. Girl idk but I'ma keep trying though! 😫😤🥴
Don't give up! Some people put a bonnet on top of the pieces that are exposed. I have had that issue before with flat curls as my hair gets longer. I try to make sure that my curls are secure enough in the scarf that they don't get smashed. Try pulling the scarf up a little more to keep the curls from hanging out too much. I hope that helps. Also try tighter/smaller curls that have more room to stretch and loosen throughout the week. If your hair is finer it might be better to start with a tighter curl.
How do you fight frizz??
I’m losing the frizz battle. Love you this
@@mstenacious274 Moisturizing with water!! Yasss I love to hear people say that!
@@kimikobuford don't give up! You got this!
I do a clay treatment once a month. I have used both rhassoul & bentonite clay with apple cider vinegar & olive oil.

Would you ever do a roller set tutorial? 😊
That's a great question. I can't say the last time I've ever done a big roller set. I can give it a try!
Beautiful results lots of definition & body would like 2 see what each day look like. Also ur daughter is cute & adorable & precious she is growing.😀

Girl, this is like the 40,000 th flexible rod video I’ve watched and I NEVER do a flexi or perm rod set because of the TIME!! Maybe I’ll try!
Gotta start somewhere! Try larger sections on freshly blown out hair. Like 12 rods. Less time and easier to sleep in! Thanks for watching!!
Hi. What makes the curls lasts longer… the flexi or the perm rods?
They last about the same to me. The smaller curls last longer than the bigger ones.
Those curls are awesome!
