The corrupt bargain refers to the actual means by which Adams won the election. The election of 1824 was a 4-way race between JQ Adams, Andrew Jackson, then Secretary of the Treasury William Crawford, and then Speaker of the House Henry Clay. Andrew Jackson won a plurality of both the electoral college and the popular vote, by rather significant margins I might add, however no one won a majority of the electoral college which is what is required to win the Presidency. In the scenario that no one wins a majority of the electoral college, the House of Representatives chooses the President. However, they can only pick from the top 3 candidates so since Henry Clay came in last he was disqualified, leaving 3 options: Adams, Jackson, & Crawford. Now despite Jackson being the most popular candidate with the American people, Henry Clay infamously HATED Jackson, and remember his position at the time, he was the Speaker of the House. So since Clay was ineligible to win, it's widely believed that he cut a deal with Adams; that he would use his influence in the House to get Adams elected and in return Adams would appoint him as Secretary of State, which Adams did when he took office in March of 1825. This was noticed even back then, as the American people were beyond MAD with how the election played out. Jackson and his followers came back with a vengeance and absolutely destroyed Adams in the election of 1828.

@VloggingThroughHistory I know you’ve probably done reactions to things just like this but I’d be very interested to hear your commentary on it.
The first glaring error is within the first five seconds.
If you can't even put a cursory effort to fact-check your AI-generated script, I'm not going to put any more effort than that into watching your video.
I would love to see another video like this in 20 years

Disliked the video for the placed ad in Teddy's section of the video.
Adams didn't do a corrupt bargain at all.
Henry Clay and John Quincy Adams had basically the same policies
This guy does not seem to like trump lol
