To me It's worth every penny upgrading to the 392. I had a 2014 5.7 Charger and then got the 2017 Charger Scatpack. Every time I got into the Scatpack it made me happy. The car sounded great, and performed even better. Now I have 2020 Challenger Wide body Scatpack and the same thing I love how it sounds, looks and the way it performs. There's nothing wrong with the 5.7 but once you experience the 392 you will not want to go back.

Performance On Wheels in my opinion, you can put 485 hp more to the ground in the widebody set up than 797hp on the Redeye. Unless Dodge( if your seeing this) makes an AWD version Ill stick with the scatpack widebody trim. I refuse to waste my money 💰 on unusable hp as well as torque. Another option would be a track hawk which to this day is the only AWD hellcat

I'm sorry, motor heads, but replacing rear tires just because you want to flex your shit is stupid and doesn't really impress anyone with a functioning brain. GOOD tires are expensive! I recently bought a Sublime 2023 Challenger R/T Plus Blacktop Edition and couldn't be happier. If I drive it sanely, I get over 25 miles per on the highway. I know the EPA has it rated lower, but I've been driving manual transmissions (of which mine is) all of my 48 years of driving experience, and I know tricks of driving to get better economy (something that very important in road racing, BTW) and I've raced cars and won, so I don't need to pose when it comes to my driving skill or my buying ability. My R/T has line lock, so I could burn 'em at any time I wanted to, but that is for the stupidity of youthful enthusiasm, unless you are prepping for a drag race. I add handling upgrades, added a strut brace, replaced the stock 6-speed slop-box shifter with a Barton, gave it a smidge of lowering tech, got better cold air induction and I'm good to go. If I still have this car in the next few years, I may just add a supercharger (with all the necessary mods to do so) just for the hell of it. Everything else I may do will likely be cosmetic (Katzkin Leather, carbon fiber decor, Ultra-flat Blackout hood treatment or maybe killer wheels and super sticky tires), not because I want to impress, but because I like the way these upgrades make me feel about my whip. Getting a ScatPack, a Hellcat, a Redeye or any other of the extreme beasties and not keeping them bone stock (or easily returned to bone stock) is a bad investment, as these cars (if not thrashed) will become collectors' items and worth more in the long run. Great modifications to a lower costing R/T will only add to its value, as it is a much more common Challenger. My R/T is fun to drive, and it still gets the ladies' attention. None of them get to drive it.

Now my rt was a 2015 and my scat pack is a 2019. My scat pack walks my friends 5.7 easily. " my R/T is faster than your 6.4, and cost me $5,000 less"

Yes you can add bolt ins to a 5.7 but after spending the money and time, you'd be better off financially to just get a 6.4. I chose the R/T for 2 reasons, reason 1 was 2 years newer being that it was the 2017 R/T Plus and that it only had 12000 Miles the 392 was 2015 with 50000 miles. 2nd being $8500.00 cheaper than the 392. I've been wondering if I made the right choice and I honestly think I have. Thanks again for the video...

I enjoyed the video and I believe you hit the important key points. I just bought a new 2020 R/T with the Shaker package. With all the performance upgrades, from Brembo brakes to the suspension, it is a wonderful example of a throwback muscle car. It is very fast and the need for 100 extra HP isn't needed (for me) as I don't race and don't go to the track. It brings me right back to my old 1974 'Cuda that had the 360 4 BBL, only this car has all the amenities. 370+ HP out of a 345 engine is something that was almost unheard of back 'in the good old days'. I was there. These modern cars, although heavy with all the safety stuff, are a delight!! I hope everyone doesn't take them for granted. These are GOOD times with cheap gas and whatever horsepower you desire.

Agree with what you said about the city, but for the track, you really aught to take an rt and a scat pack to the dyno. The difference in power is way overstated. Infact I'm pretty sure dodge is lowering the RT from what it actually is and inflating the scat pack. I know they did with the ram TRX as it would be impossible to reach the numbers they stated with that displacement unless they discovered the secrets to the laws of thermodynamics and infinte power generation. Which, I mean... if they did their v6 would have better mileage. Lol
Anyway, at the dyno on a standard day our scat made 335hp, and the RT made 322hp.
With the tremec power loss, and the listed engine powers, the expected power after loss should have been around 388hp for the scat and 300hp for the RT. See what I'm getting at? You're only gonna notice that with drag tires and timers. Anything else is placebo. Unless you want the scat for its sound, then don't waste your money.
I don't understand how dodge gets away with scamming people like that. Especially the TRX. I know people have this belief that the real world isn't like the numbers we do on paper, and yes that's true, but thats true because the numbers are based on the perfect situation, as in if everything works perfectly, no friction, perfect air fuel, no losses whatsoever. The numbers are a goal to get to, not what we expect to get AND ESPECIALLY not what we go above.
