My girlfriend and I are doing a haunt this weekend. I'm super excited. My favorite haunt was the time a group of drunk people came through and I scared one so bad he fainted.
I'll never understand people who get mad at being scared in a place you go to to be scared Its like they get mad when they get their teeth fixed at the dentist or something
Mood I purposely avoid them because my dad scaring me so much has made it a habit to swing when someone jumpscares me Im not stupid I am not going to pay to get scared then hit some poor actor
I do this Trail of Terror thing at my college and one time I scared a kid so hard he jumped a whole foot in the air! Another time, a little girl hugged me and wasn't scared at all. I was super happy.
I didn't knew the Plague Doctor was part of Fortnight but due to watching things about SCPs lately, I couldn't help but think of SCP 049 aka the Plague Doctor. And it touches someone they become a zombie slave to the Doctor, so that could be a reason some one might fear you Madame if you are in that costume. I don't normally comment on RUclips videos in general but felt the need to this time, also enjoy your songs in general too thanks for reading.
It's a lot of fun! Be prepared (bring water, dress warmly if it's cold) though, and don't try and make actors talk to you (I've had people ask me how my day is going etc), although it's sweet, I can't talk back.
My dad (who uses chainsaw to trim trees/collect firewood from fallen trees/help friends with yard clean ups) and I once went through an amateur haunt with a chainsaw maniac (I think the kid had chosen to dress as an off-brand Leatherface). The line kind of backed up due to someone downstream getting spooked too hard, so my dad and I got sort of stuck near Off-Brand Leatherface. Says my dad to Off-Brand Leatherface, somewhat nervously, "That a McCollough or a Husqvarna chainsaw??"
My favorite experience went like this *victim walks into dark narrow hallway* A really big dude and his girl *i run down laughing maniacally with my blue light face paint of a clown* The girl was in the front *she screams* the boyfriend *pushes her into me and falls on the ground* Oh how I love my job
I’m a huge horror movie fan but I’ve never been threw a haunted house. It’s the chainsaws that get me, but now knowing the blades not actually on there and the chance of a freak accident is significantly lower has me thinking it’s time to experience one
It's good to know there's actually unseen security in these things. I just imagined a real psychotic killer sneaking into one & killing some folks, you KNOW "tough guys" would walk over the bleeding dying bodies saying "that looks so FAKE." Is it wrong that such a scenario makes me sadistically chuckle?
So far my favorite is watching this person jump and try to run in the air at the same time. Didn't work for em too well hense them falling over on their side. They were ok but I was trying so hard not to break character lol.
I love watching your haunt storytimes, they get me more and more eager to work in bigger haunts in the future and not just the one at an elementary school in my town lol
I started my first ever season as a haunt actor this month. The first weekend wasn't too noteworthy other then getting hit on by this one guy, but my most recent weekend gave alot more scares. I loved having the girls that went through loudly exclaiming that they just peed their pants. XDD
I know it's been a few days after this was posted but your videos and stories make me so happy! You even inspired and gave me the confidence to volunteer at my local haunt this year! You're the best Madame :D
Kenni Diaz Late Update: i volunteered for the local haunted hotel haunt and I was a old grandma in the nursery aka “the doll/baby room” everyone’s least fav room, besides the spider room at my haunt. My room I would say is one of the scariest not only because of me and my children(the dolls) but because you never knew who else was going to be there with me as we had “Wanderers” that can go just about anywhere and everywhere following groups through out the haunt. “The Wanderers” were Pennywise, Jumpsuit Guy, and Ghost girl. I like to explain my room as having 4 levels: 1 Normal- just me in the room, 2 Hard- Me and Ghost Girl, 3 Extreme- Me, GG, and Jumpsuit, 4 Nightmare Mode- me + all three “Wanderers”. Being in a hotel and I got one big room that’s actually two rooms together but wall is torn out, along with big props, so it was easy and great for all of them to hide while I’m the distraction. Oh man the screams were amazing no matter what level, 4 obv the best as we got groups running back and forth around the room eventually getting chased out shrieking! But it was random every night so great for those that always came back through the season!
I just started working at a haunt this year! You’re videos helped me so much! It’s been a great 3 weekends so far. Best job I could’ve asked for tbh! So far the funniest reaction I’ve had is I scared these 2 girls so bad the one girl threw her friend into me. 😂 I almost broke character I laughed soooo hard.
My friend just went to a haunt and in an attempt to get something off her shoulder she did a sassy hair flip and the haunt worker just pointed at her and said “I like your attitude” and they just chilled a bit. Unfortunately I don’t have time for haunts this year because of my work and weddings 😔
I work at the Lewisburg haunted cave in Ohio and I think my funniest scare was with my good buddy who runs a saw. He runs this group of maybe 4 girls into my area which is pitch black. So I hear them coming closer so I crouch low to the ground and when they got close I sprang up and gave a yell and the fear in their eyes was great😂
I’m in a Haunt this year, for the very first time. Any advise on how not to lose my voice? We’re headed into the third weekend and my voice still hasn’t bounced back. I have lozenges and drink water when ever I have a chance, throughout the night. But still wake up the next day sounding like the penguin from Santa Clause Is Coming To Town, haha.
This is my third year working at a haunt and lemme just tell you, i TOTALLY understand this. It's always hilarious to scare people. Some reactions are just funny. I've personally had people flip out and run. I chase them out of the room to scare them some more. Also had a partner I've worked with who made two people fall to their knees in one night. She was new. Another one of my friends works as a cannibal and he can get up to five or six people who piss themselves in one night. It's hilarious. Note: he's a taller, bigger guy. Think like a younger OG Leatherface. He literally is SO SCARY when in character.
There are those who think they're tough and won't get scared, only to scream loudly when scared, and then there's people like me; we WANT to get scared and rarely do. ^^'''
My community is actually going to be putting on a haunt on Halloween and I'm volunteering to be on the floor as an actor. I'm still trying to figure out what I want to be and have as a prop. For a minute I thought about being a chainsaw maniac however the haunt is indoors and idk if there's enough ventilation to do so. Any tips or ideas would be great. Can't wait to see all the faces. Oh and it's going to be a 2 part haunt. Earlier in the night it's going to be PG for all the little kiddies then later in the night it's going to be no holds bar. Can go as creepy and gory as you want
I volunteer at a haunted trail in Hurley Mississippi (called the Trail of Terror), and tomorrow will be my third weekend there (I'm a guide). So far, I've had a grown woman pee herself, a child start having an absolute breakdown (the poor kid tho, he was on the verge of a full on panic attack), some kid paid me $5 to tell him a joke, several girls fall on top of each other domino style, and a lost count of grown men screaming like little girls XD
Only haunted house I went to is one of the most popular ones in Oklahoma. I didn't actually get scared and was in a group. Because 2 women in the group with me were getting too scared, I let them go in front of me. Everything was fine for 2 parts of it, then 1 certain part came up. It was a maze with fog machines, strobes, and the walls were lined white. I get dizzy easily, and strobing or bright lights get me dizzy while making it hard for me to see. It was a maze part that was simple, but because of the surroundings I ended up going in circles. The actors had to help me while in character to get out of there. Nothing like being lost and seeing a zombie's arm grab you to lead you
One of my friends works at a haunt too as a ticket seller and tour guide and he loves watching people get freaked the fuck out. They invited me to join someday. :3
