😆👏🏻 your princess 👑 is adorable! wow you know I don't think i have seen those where i live but now I am going to be on the hunt. thats a great prep item! just to have a few cans on the shelf. great review, Tony! 😁
That sounds phenomenal 😍 😋 I have seen more and more of the Wolf chili recently in my area. We used to only have the hormel. That sounds like a fantastic lunch! Mmm mmmm I'm so hungry now!
@@ThePreparedPatriarch If you have any dollar stores, look for chili, or the Hormel can of tamales chicken kind. I know the Dollar Tree has them. Don't know if you have a Dollar Tree where you live.
Man I have always enjoyed these canned tamales even as a child and I'm 47 now! Fast easy and not too bad. Great prep food. Sometimes I top with shredded cheese too.
Oh no I'm not from Mexico, but love Mexico ❤. I have been there many times and I have many Mexican friends and coworkers. Mexico is full of great food and great people!
I bet you do! You are quite advanced in prepping. I learned alot from you. Definitely grab a can and try it first. Unless you like tamales, then grab a case!
@@ThePreparedPatriarch appreciate that. You’re already prepped well after you said you just started this year. Keep going man, us daughter daddies have to watch over our babies and make sure they are protected and have everything thing they need to survive anything (I have three daughters under 5 😑😢).
Omg your daughter is so cute! Say hi back to her for me 👋🙂❤. I tried making tamales once from a can and began to eat them with the wrapper on and thought omg tamales don't taste good at all. I finally realized you are supposed to take the wrapper off, duh. Shows what a good cook I am lol. 🤣. They are good when you cook them right. Thanks for sharing! 🙂🎈👍❇💮🌹🌸🥁
Omg I was blown away, the gravy definitely had alot to do with it. I've never had tamales with sauce before. Im definitely going to try it with some rice!
@@ThePreparedPatriarch I’m hungry too, I’m gonna make a south Dallas round steak ( fried bologna) sandwich! God bless & stay safe, prayers for your family & you!
I love Tamales of any kind! These Tamales are special in that they are canned and taste great for a quick fix, camping, graveyard shift, and on rice, with chili and cheese too. These are the canned ravioli of Tamales. I like the chicken ones too, and they are always at the Dollar tree.
Fits all the prepper food criteria. We can make a standardized checklist. 1.Taste/appeal 2. Inexpensive 3. Shelf life 4. Unique (to help with food fatigue) That's awesome bro! Thank you for your support AJ
Growing up in the 60s it was just my dad and I a lot of the time. I remember eating these often. I have been trying to put them in my preps but they seem to always be out of them at my Wal-Mart. Thanks my friend.
Wow these have been around that long? Impressive! You are so lucky to have grown up back then. I hope you find them! I heard somewhere that Tuesdays are the biggest restocking day, maybe try on a Tuesday. I wish you a Happy New Year my friend ❤
Thanks for the review! I will be adding these to my preps! Added to blah white rice it will be a nice Mexican meal. That daughter of yours is so stinking cute!
Thank you so much 😊 I know... it's awful... I have cut down alot. I used to drink it everyday, now maybe 1 a week. Bon appetite on whatever you decided to snack on.
Aww how adorable, God bless them. We always said how nice it would be to have twins. We've been lenient with thier eating habits during the pandemic just because its already hard enough on them and they have gotten spoiled. All they want to eat now is sweet stuff lol
You know what... I agree with you! The dough was perfect (not dry) the filling was perfectly seasoned (sometimes people make it bland) and it came in sauce! (I've never had them in sauce before)
your little girl is adorable.... i have never in my life had one of those. not much of a mexican food fan and i am vegan. :) , but good prep to have for those who do. - my guys i dont think would eat them. blessings. and wowza you are tall... lol
I didn't think about that! I'm going to order one now from Amazon $10. Thank you for reminding me. smile.amazon.com/dp/B004ZKXY7C/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_dPF7FbXPN0WEB
A wind up travel alarm clock, if you can find them, is a good option. Several of them, as they are compact and can be used in several rooms or stashed in Grab/Go bags. Don't forget that rechargeable batteries will keep wall clocks running for a long time. Match solar yard lights with their batteries to what would be needed to be recharged periodically. BTW, I have a Midland Emergency Radio ER210 "Hand Crank Charging, Flashlight, Cellular Phone Charger, Solar Power Charging, USB Charging, Rechargeable Battery" that I got from Walmart. Among all the features, it also has a clock. Another way to keep up with the time. Just some thoughts on this rainy new year's eve. Have a blessed new year.
They do look good. Sadly, far too much sodium for the old folks in this household. Looks like something young folks, who can handle 41% sodium per serving, would enjoy. Good length of time for "Best By", too. Thanks for sharing for those who can use them. Hope you and yours have a safe, blessed, and happy 2021.
I can appreciate this. I can still eat a can of "The Chef" and not put it down for being "fake italian". If I can get Tamales, even from a can, it's a good day.
It's from a preparedness aspect only lol. I would choose fresh, homemade tamales 🫔 everytime. But one may argue, canned tamales are better than no tamales. Thank you for watching and commenting 🙏

Ooh I bet the cheese adds a great flavor and texture! I'll have to try that next. Thank you!
i like ketchup on them and eating them with crackers
I will have to try them sometime, thanks for sharing...

Yes! I am very excited about the shelf life
Canned beef is so expensive & these are a meal with meat, sauce and carbs. I crave them. Very inexpensive still. Great review...
Nice review. I have a lot of variety in my preps but I have never stocked up on these. Might have to get a few cans.

I take the paper off first, before I heat them. The sauce is pretty good too, some times make some rice to go along with to sop up the sauce.
I have a can of these on the counter so I had too look up a review or recipe haha. Nice video god bless your family!

Sounds pretty good! Love the hot sauce idea! Rock on!
Hi Tony I have never had a tamale, I dont even know what the heck they are.
What state are you in (or close to)?
@@bettypierce5323 I'm in Northwestern Ontario Canada Minnesota is the closest state to us.
Hi Sherry!😊It's a mush made out of corn flour, that is stuffed with meat, rolled in a banana leaf and steamed in a pot. They are quite tasty 😋 .
@@ThePreparedPatriarch Thanks Tony I will check out my grocery store to see if I can find them.
Much love from Canada

Canned tamales are better than home made. It's all I ever ate until about 10 years ago, when I tried homemade.
You know what... I agree with you! The dough was perfect (not dry) the filling was perfectly seasoned (sometimes people make it bland) and it came in sauce! (I've never had them in sauce before)
I love them. Delicious comfort food. Not the slightest bit like real tamales. WTF?
How you do’n tony? I’m actually making these tonight as a 1st timer. Thanks for the video!

I am the only one in my house that likes them. I asked my wife to taste it and she refused 😆. Thank you Vivian 😊
🙋🏻♀️ YO No idea what it is. May buy it though and put garlic on it. Like I do everything..
Garlic goes with everything, YUP! I SAY GO FOR IT! Blessings
not as good as real ones, but good! ive aten these for years. i honestly think they are best cold.
I tried them today because I was curious. They were edible but I’m sorry no that do NOT taste anything close to real homemade tamales
Yum🤓👍
