    To all asking about the mystery secret: It's not meant to be a cliffhanger. It's just letting the viewers know that even though the main cast has moved away, there will always be people with secrets on Wisteria Lane. People having secrets will never stop.
    A very well done ending and nice touch with all the characters who died during the shows run, all in once scene. I don't think any show has done that before.

      @Silversled rarely though do actors from big shows do much after they end-that's the way it goes for alot of them. In fairness Teri Hatcher has had several notable big film roles in high grossing animated movies in the last decade and Eva Longoria was in a few big films since the show ended too. Longoria also is hired by top companies such as L'oreal so it's not like she's doing nothing. Cross admitted that when the show ended she wanted to take alot of time away from work which is understandable considering she had two young children and was an older mum by the time the show wrapped. In addition to this both her and her husband have had health problems in recent years. Plus Felicity H. was in that American Crime show which had massive critical success.

    • @shanefolan
      @shanefolan 4 года назад

      @Silversled i think the way tv/entertainment has gone now since the show ended is that unless you research an actor you might think an actor is doing little but in actual fact they are doing quite well through netflix shows or other pay to view online shows-that's where it is all happening now. In the past there used to be like about 3-4 big shows on tv and several other semi successful ones and if you were in them or rather just be seen on tv you'd be considered to be 'doing well' in your career. Nowadays though there are so many successful shows online that it's much harder to keep track off who's in what and the tv market has declined greatly because of the internet etc. Gone are the days where the market just had a handful of top shows that were big globally/would dominate,it's much more diluted now with the excess supply online. Also you will find that most actors from top shows will continue to work after the end but just that their mainstream days are over unless you are Jennifer Aniston or George Clooney-in an industry which is very hard to get work in any type of work is impressive really.

      I know, its sad how the show portrayed reality in the end. Most of us always say we will be friends for life, until we no longer are. I wish there was an alternative ending here. I want all of them on the street forever :(

    • @anthonyL1995
      @anthonyL1995 4 года назад +62

      At the end of the day I feel like it made sense. Very few of us remain friends with people forever. We are introduced to four very different people who happen to live on the same block. In reality, someone like Gabby and Lynette or Bree would probably not be friends with one another. Bree was extremely rightwing in her views and we get glimpses of the people around her rolling their eyes even when some of them probably were on the edge of red themselves. Gabby was a semi-retired model with little education and we are show glimpses of how she was essentially a trophy wife at least in the beginning of their marriage. Tom and Lynette were the Catholic family with WAY too many children that had difficulty controlling them. Susan most definitely not a great parent and her daughter had to raise her. So, you take away the dramatic element and while these people might have played cards together, gone grocery shopping together, possibly take a yoga class by all means they were extremely different and what kept them together was the convenience of being on the same street.

    I LOVED this show. I just finished watching the series and I am heartbroken that I will never see anything new from these characters again. I actually got excited when the lady (who bought the house from Susan) placed that box in that cabinet. I was thinking to myself "alright, a new mystery!". But then I realized that there would be no more. That scene was simply to show that the beat goes on. I can not even begin to put into words the amazing ride that this show took me on. I'll NEVER forget these characters. They were like friends to me. And as crazy as this sounds, this show saved my life. I started watching it at a time when I was as low and depressed as I had ever been. This show literally got me through the darkest time of my entire life.

      Ali Erdenay when the show started Porter was 6 years old and Julie was 14. So if you go by the first 4 seasons they had an 8 year age gap. It would have been better if Julie had a baby with some other guy unrelated to the street. I don’t know why they had to keep everything in the “family”.

    Acutally, I think the finale was beautifully done. The dead characters should be viewed as a celebration of all seven seasons, they got actors and actresses from all seven seasons to appear! that's incredible. additionally, it explained why Mary Alice always watched over the housewives, that all the dead characters are always watching. Regarding the box, it was just establishing that despite the housewives leaving life goes on, and that EVERYONE has secrets.

      He was killed off BECAUSE of that lawsuit. Nicolette's case was that she was the only main cast member to be killed off (by Season 5 when Edie died,) who has been there since the beginning, and she said that was proof that Marc did it on purpose. Upon hearing this, Marc Cherry killed Mike off.. and had James Denton in court before the episode even aired, to disprove Nicolette's claim. The only reason Mike was killed off was to get that lawsuit thrown out.. that's why it was so rushed into the show as well. It was a terrible thing to do on Marc Cherry's part.

      I hated that they killed Mike, he was an amazing guy, but without this death Susan may not have grown as a character. Thought the series we see this childish woman, who can't take care of herself, who can't make her own decisions, can't live without a man. When Mike dies for the first time she started growing up, she continued donating money for his sister, she decided to sell her house to help her daughter and take care of her granddaughter, she crafted a car for MJ. She couldn't have gone this far if she still had Mike. So, he had to die so that Susan will finally grow up.

    i think they should make a dh movie, like they did a sex and the city movie. i know that they dont live at the same street anymore (mayebe not even in the same cities). but it could be something that makes them meet up after all these years. like a funeral or something. and after that something happen and they get to hang out as a group like when they were young. i think it could really be a success and the fans would love it!

      Real Dylan should be included
      People in the plane (Jeff and Daphne Bicks) could qualify under the "died on Wisteria lane" rule
      Ajejandro should be included (being a bad person in life isn't grounds for exclusion, as evidenced by George Williams, Martha Huber and Chuck Vance)
      Orson wasn't confirmed as dead so no
      Deirdre, well since they included Karen's son I guess dying before the pilot isn't grounds for exclusion
      Zach's grandfather didn't die on Wisteria lane or live in Fairview at any point
      Dave's family should be included
      The psychologist killed by Dave (Samuel Heller) should be included
      Monique Polier should be included
      I mentioned Matthew Applewhite
      The girl Adam had an affair with (Sylvia Greene) might qualify because she died on Wisteria lane
      Patrick Logan should be included (much like with Alejandro, being a bad person is not grounds for exclusion)
      The guy who died in the Applewhite house (Curtis Monroe) might qualify because he died on Wisteria Lane
      Lynette's stepfather was mentioned in passing to have died at some point between seasons 4 and 5 so maybe.

    I loved this show, everything from the delightful caste to background voice and score :) I just finished watching the finale and I am not all happy, the whole series overtly signifies the bond of four ladies and it was so heart wrenching to see that it was their last poker game together, the makers should not have shown or exhibited that they are not together anymore, I mean, people do have friends who are oceans apart then why the hell the makers could not show four of them, after being moved, having drinks or meeting. this just disappointed me, it was kind of a bittersweet ending, it could have been better if it was implied that four of them are still in contact and meet every now and then. :(
