An R1 would absolutely destroy the MT-01 in a straight line - heck search for the youtube video where a lowly Hornet 600 destroys a MT-01 and they're one of the slowest four cylinder 600s out there! Don't get me wrong I like MT-01s for their character - but fast they definitely are not!

No way, if you had the same rider on both bikes a supersport would kill the MT01 around a track. I think the rider in this video has some great skills and is able to make the MT01 look great around the track. Good video!
+Marko M you know nothing about bikes,right? the mt 01 is a heavy bike with lean limits due it's size.you have to help it steer by putting your weight on the inside of the turn...cheers mate
