      I met him and took a few photos in 1977. At Disney World of all places. He was with wife and kids a day or two prior to show in Tampa. Sadly one of his kids would die only weeks later.

    You can see that rockers during the 60s and 70s weren't just a bunch of wild punks trying to make it big but they were legit intellectual musicians who can articulate their craft well.

      That trend was more popular in the late 80s and 90s, during the 60s and 70s most of rockers were different, all they wanted to do was something great through rock and roll

    • @ExcitedAnacondaSnake-hg8ec
      @ExcitedAnacondaSnake-hg8ec 6 месяцев назад

      @@benlange7124it was the result of the pomp popularized by peppers by Beatles. Not always for the better. It could get pretentious and pompous with little redeeming value. Most rockers from every era were pretty ignorant and uneducated. For every plant or Iggy Pop that was relatively well-spoken and educated was a thousand Ozzy osbournes, stumbling mumbling buffoon.

    • @graciekattan6618
      @graciekattan6618 2 месяца назад

      All of Led Zeppelin were not head banging rockers. In fact, I feel like they wouldn’t describe their music as hard rock. But it definitely inspired hard rock. They seemed to see themselves of innovators of Blues. Musicians who added a different element to it. And honestly when I listen to their music I sense that. This is coming from a fan who mostly listens to r&b music. My favorite rock musicians have that soul in their music that isn’t that easy to find after the 70’s 🤷🏻‍♀️

He didnt want to be in the band and add to that the insult of Page and JPJ not attending Karac's funeral. I never called Robert P. a moralist nor did I call him virtuous. You misunderstood my comments. I am in awe of how smart this guy really was at such a young age. He was only in his 20s in this clip. I am in my 30s and I have never met a guy this talented and this smart at the same time. I admire him, but I don't worship him. It also doesn't hurt that he was easy on the eyes in his youth. There isn't a lead singer today that even comes close to his delivery.

    • @LoyalOpposition
      @LoyalOpposition 2 года назад +1

      He is articulate, but I think it shows more because of the comparisons to the untalented morons today. I could listen 100 great bands just from that year, while I can't name a single new song I'd listen to today.

He doesn't have any roughness in his voice, he seems pretty well spoken and thoughtful in this interview...
