It's worth it especially as a Harry Potter fan BUT I will say after 20ish hours I'm taking a break and playing another game. Good game for me but not something I "can't stop playing."
Any kind of dlc or free expansion would be great. After you've done everything there's nothing to do. You can play through to do the slightly different stories for each house but doing even that is very repetitive.
The voice acting is horrible, some quest make no sense storywise, stealing is not a possibility, because everyone is a okay with you looting everything, everyone (who is not a hostile) can still see you if you use the cloack spell and still I kinda like this game.
I love this game, I just got all the achievements on Xbox series X. Took 4 play throughs due to house specific achievements, took me around 130hrs to 100%. Would love to see some dlc. The worst part is that by the time you get super powerful it's over. Getting the killing curse so late in the Sallow quest line was somewhat disappointing on my first play through. In hindsight I spent my subsequent 3 play throughs I work the main and 3 best friend quests until I have all of the spells and broom upgrades, then I work on the exploration, field guide, and side quests before finishing the main quest. Getting all of the collection items was a grind. I got to where I can complete the games main quests in about 20hrs. But the 100% collecion took about 50hrs.
The 100% completion is a long slog in this game to be fair, so many collectables and so many other things like Merlin Trials. DLC would be awesome though, would love to see some new additions like that
@@Alessiokat The house specific achievements are triggered by the jackdaws mission, which is quite a bit farther than the tutorials, I like it enough to play through the whole game as a member of each house. I'm not just referring to 100% achievements, I'm talking about 100% everything including collections.
@@AuroCultI think he means the gear storage, which is capped at 40. You can pretty easily fill that with legendary gear before even finishing the game
Have they added anything else to do in the common rooms since I played last year. That's something I found mega disappointing. You can get to level 20 without going to your house even once. Hogwarts is one of the cosiest places you can imagine and I really wish there was some downtime elements to the game to reflect this. At least have the ability to sleep . All in all though this game was awesome and I'm gearing for a second play through.
@@xx-i-doritos-i-xx2221if the game peaks your interest in any means, it’s worth buying. You get immersed pretty well into the game, and it’s all for entertainment in the end of the day. If you’re a fan of the franchise and you feel like you’ve thought of buying it, I’d say you really should.

@@tremere26 Don't get me wrong, I love RDR2 but if you want it to look good you have to fix the garbage TAA, install Lehzan ReShade or tweak your own preset, play in 4k, replace all the textures and mod the lighting. Otherwise it looks like a game from 2018, not 2024.

it's a great game and I never cared for the movies but love the game. and im a bg3 kinda guy. some reason it reminds me of my mario 64 days way back when and that was some of my best gaming memories. 😊
If people knew the real reason witches are associated with broomsticks, they would never look at Harry Potter and Hogwarts the same way. Let's say that broomsticks were instruments of carnal sin and delirium. Go figure out the rest. Cheers
Personally, I adored the 5th and 6th Harry Potter games for how immersive they were, really making you feel like you were living the movies. However, I find that the different look of the castle in Hogwarts Legacy detracts a bit from that movie-like immersion, even though it stays faithful to the books.

Tempted to try it. Steam has it currently 50% off.

Do you like fetch quests? Because that’s all the game is. The atmosphere of the game is an 11/10. Literally everything else is a 0-2/10.

It's only one or two quests. I played through it twice and it got stale quickly. Still pretty fun for what it was. I had a fun 18 hours or so with it.
Yeah it would definitely benefit from some DLC, here's hoping they do something this year
Do you need to do the quests to play it?
No, you could do the first hour or two or until you get a broom and then just fly around and explore after that if you wanted to 😊

Looks great but my number 1 and only thing I ever ask for in any game is..storage space it's a deal breaker for me such a shame looks good to

I got an 8 TB external drive for under $100, if storage is your problem you're a moron

Why does your gameplay footage look like PS two graphics? This game is absolutely gorgeous.
Because the capture video has less quality plus the RUclips quality they downgrade the graphics
Not gorgeous, it is good, not great. RDR2 has gorgeous graphics.
