It’s common for teeth to look like that afterwards. I just got my braces off today and they are just a tad bit yellow but a lot of patients try to whiten their teeth after braces.
Hello doctor, my question is do you recomend permanent retainers or removable retainers? i’m really confused i dont know which one to choose . permanent one seems like a better idea for me but i’m still not sure ?
Don't go for the permanent.. It is hard to fix when it gets broken.
What is that rubber band for you put at the molars in the beginning? Is it to hold the tongue back?

I had midline diastema in my front two teeth....now that my braces r off,im afraid the diastema will come again......I do wear retainers as my orthodontist told me.
Wear your retainers as advised, if you feel you won’t be able to commit then ask for a permanent retainer.

You can have your teeth bleached after removing braces, sometimes it’s what they do because your teeth are so yellow.
@@CR-ce5lf I’ve had mine on for over a year and my teeth are still white. All it took was brushing and flossing daily. I’ve only missed like 3 nights my entire time

this may sound stupid, but if you have a permanent retainer on both top and bottom can you also wear clear plastic retainers on top of the permanent ones?
Yes you can! I’ve had my permanent retainers on my top and bottoms for 3 years now along with my clear removable one - there’s no issue at all 💞

Riffat Ahmad honestly amazing! I’ve not had one problem with them (yet🤣) but you barely ever notice/feel them in your mouth which some people find hard to believe.

@@laraxox5242 Hi, I am finishing my upper aligners in a few weeks, and my dentist mentioned me a fix retainer. They didn't tell me that at the begining, and I am very sceptic abot that. How long you need to ware it, iz it hard to talk, or to keep it clean? Is it noticable?
No whitening products for the duration of service so eating products with the capability to stain teeth isn’t a great idea. Nothing to do with brushing

Which is best permanent retainer or removal retainer
Permanent in my eyes, because if you have a removabel retainer, you need to wear it for several years and need to remember it every day. If you wont put it in, your teeth will move. With a fixed retainer you neednt think about this. For the first year it might be good to have both a fixed and a removable retainer, because that is the time when your teeth moves most. But, as I already said, thats my personal opinion based on my experience, I AM NOT AN ORTHODONTIST!! If you are unsure, ask your orthodontist, what he thinks is the best. Sometimes it might also depend on how nuch your teeth have been moved or other specialities with your teeth...
