- The Miami Hurricanes improved to 3-0 with a big win over rival Florida State, 52-10. The Hurricanes' defense hauled in 3 interceptions and sacked Seminoles quarterbacks 6 times in the win. Miami quarterback D'Eriq King threw for 267 yards and 2 touchdowns, and rushed for 65 yards to lead the Canes to victory. Cam'Ron Harris rushed for 43 yards and 2 touchdowns, and freshman running back Donald Chaney Jr. rushed for 2 touchdowns and 35 yards on 7 carries in the game. Wide receiver Mark Pope led the Hurricanes with 60 yards receiving and Dee Higgins and Brevin Jordan hauled in touchdown passes.

This was something special. Admittedly against a sub par fsu team. But we look good.
When Clemson plays a bad team they score about the same. UM had reserves in the second half it could have been much worst for FSU. No one could score more than in every drive before toning it down.
Win or lose against Clemson next week, if Miami loses in a close game against them that'll be a huge statement and a confidence boost for Miami moving forward, yeah they loss to Clemson but they'll still play against them in the ACC championship game with lots of motivation and learning experience.

@Andy Gygi Outside of ND and VT, Miami was very fluky in 2017. The offense was not very good and was kept alive by the defense. Not saying we are back, but this is the best offense we have had since the early 2000's.

Aside from some dumb penalties and the muffed punt by Pope that was the best first half of football I've seen the Canes play against a Power 5 team in a long time. This offense is a lot of fun to watch. Great dominating taking them to the woodshed butt kicking against a rival! They've looked great the first three games and have looked better each week. They still have some things to work on namely stupid lapse in judgement penalties but I've liked what I've seen from the U. In two weeks against Clemson this will be the biggest game for Miami in a while. You can't give a team like Clemson extra plays or yards on penalties. This will be a litmus test to see where the Canes are. I think they will give Clemson all they can handle if Miami brings their A game.

This was one of dirtiest played college games I've ever watched. Florida States entire coaching staff should be disciplined for not keeping their players in line. In just the first half I saw at least 3 plays which should have resulted in ejection. I thought I was watching NFL football from the '60s.
