I like this kind of music. There are no lyrics that may end up terrible and ruin the song. It makes me calm my mind. I can forget the hustle of the world for a few minutes. I've yet to watch the videos because the music takes my focus away while I'm listening to it.
it starts out chilled enough (Debussy), then it goes fantasy-like (Uematsu), and towards the end it just becomes bad ass (BT). epic timeless composition!
Wow this video is old. This artwork is really my aesthetic. I LOVE IT! The machines and plants combined, weird dreamlike trippy-ness. It's like the robot and the gardener were influencing each other's worlds at first, but unaware of each other. With the robot messing with life, other machines and possibly creating the weird creatures that began to appear in the garden? Then as it continued they both became aware and curious of the other side, then the link between the underground world and the surface was dug out and they switched places and were both amazed by what they saw. And then later they meet up, and hole gets a nice brick edging and they can come and go between worlds as they please. A cool touch at the end how the underground world seems to have reversed gravity to the surface, like it's a mirror image or the other side of a flat world... instead of just being underground like normal.
Man, I had heard one BT song before this, and I really wasn't impressed. Then a friend suggested I listen to this song. This is absolutely incredible. So much variety in the styles this piece covers.
Every once in a while I look at my bookmarks, and I think what is this? Every time after I open this track I remember, this is a masterpiece. And I cannot express words about how it makes me feel to listen to it. :)
Holy shit I thought this song was so amazing, that I went to Ebay just to buy the DVD and CD and listen to it in surround sound. BT = the god of trance.
@Shammy1213 This world isn't becoming anything, it's already became the terrible and unfathomable. Yet through the chaos of the world that surrounds us, beautiful pieces of love, peace, and acceptence to one and to all can come around in may forms of projection. Such as a poem, a film, a sunrise, a song. BT captures so much beauty and unflitching emotion of self gratitude and social love to everything and every idea in this whole album.
@Shammy1213 Certainly. I definitely love the comments that you see on these and will gladly take them any day versus the average comments you see on youtube :P
@PWNZORDRETURNS And it's the original and imaginative artists that are overlooked. How is "Chuckie", "Carl Cox" or "David Guetta" ahead of BT on the top 100 DJ mag. BT should have always been top 10. He's obviously the most talented artist in his genre.
@wearepsu811 I don't think intelligence has anything to do with enjoying great ambient-like tracks. One of my friend is clever as hell but has no patience to truly get this piece of art. And another one is more like average, and love "highly evolved" music like classical and jazz, he would surely love that one. It's "maybe slightly" related to IQ, but most important thing is sensibility and the way we managed to let art get deeper and deeper. That's what I would call "musical intelligence".
5:39 This part with kinda sounds like the part in reality shows like Hotel Hell when they first meet the owners, combined with the music from those badass old Bioniche commercials.
IQ tests are mostly overrated. We already observed variations from 80 to 130 on several students that were suicidally alone to overwhelmingly happy, from one year to the next. And happiness is not considered as part of intelligence... Same goes with emotions. Someone who is said "sensitive" is, to me, more intelligent than someone who is not. This is EQ (not equalizer, but emotional quotient) and it does greatly influence IQ.
I don't really know. I think she's talking about the lack of apostrophe in your its/it's and that weird +) thing. Is that an emoticon? Some failed backspace? Doesn't matter.
Don't really care for the video tbh. I preferred making the story up in my head. Made some awesome final fantasy storylines. The music perfectly complemented it, or was it the other way around.
The low attention span of the world today has heavilly worn and torn on the abillity to be able to enjoy this kind of music. Sadly, today, it seems that the "best" kind of music is that which runs on nothing but a 4/4 snare rhythm, and with pointless lyrics that you can phase out. I think the reason that pop is so popular is solely because of the amount of attention people are willing to pay music.
I agree that people who listen to electronica are more educated than most, but I'm not a big fan of the idea that the world is going to shit. Although things like mtv and justin beiber may be discouraging, you see what you want to see, and culture is slowly but steadily evolving. What we have now is better than a nation that is half illiterate, hates blacks and disenfranchises women. Economically speaking, living conditions are 8x better than they were in 1910, and still improving.
This whole album is a masterpiece. Been listening to it since I was a teenager, I’m 33 now haha
Same 😂❤

still one of the greatest albums of all time - took a lot of sifting through memories to find this - thank you BT
7:56 I didn't expect it to turn out like this. I admire BT's creativity

This is what early childhood feels like.

Artwork by Adam S Doyle. Music by BT. Released in 2005.
This track is wicked, my favorite of BT.
The story of this video is super neat. Goes with the music so well. The music evokes the visuals.
holy crow this is actually really cool

There are only two artists I have listened to my whole life and not got bored of . Chicane and BT , enough said.
beyond mind blown ... this is that good!!
This video is really confusing......but that's probably why I like it so much. I love the mystery of it.
Another master piece!!!
This video is just so unique and amazing. The song itself is very intriguing. BT is an artist, not like today's so called artist's and their "music".
just a regular day in the mind of an artist.... :D
This song puts me through a peaceful journey, and then brings me back with the awesome beats at the end =)

the sunken cathedral!
The music is beyond perfect, but I have to say the art in this video is almost equally as mesmerizing. [I said "almost." XD]
Woah. WOAH.
Right!!!

Esto en 5.1 me pone los pelos de punta!

8:22 is so cool
Absolutely
Amazing.
I LOVE THIS
It's called.. "M-U-S-I-C" :-p the artist is BT, and electronic music artist.
Yeah you're right. I guess it's the difference between what is tested vs what you think is tested vs what is.
all together now: chillaaaaaaaaaaaax
2:57
3:19
3:48 - 5:10
5:29
5:39 - 6:46
8:21 - 9:20
He has always done albums himself and at times with other artists, but in no way is he a band, hence "BT" ; his name.
well played...
I feel like all of these songs in this album are like a story of something.
Tight song.
is this the video from the DVD? Interesting Stuff - eager to experience this, maybe with some Kratom :) thanks for sharing.
@Skipberkes as much as I love BT's music, that was probably one of the most disturbing and worst things you could have ever said toward the guy.
it all happens at 4:40

@12e24e36e48e60 You're right. Well, I guess Debussy is public domain, right?
@Kainspear its in the album
LOLOLOL!!!! +1!!! You're dominant!!!
Don't really care for the video tbh.

Thanks for these! Why is this one, No. 3, only in 360px when all the others have a 480px resolution?
its actually just 1 guy, not a band +)
can someone please explain this comment section to me?
what are the chords at the beginning? it’s marvelous
part 6:08 onwards is good :D
reminds me of kinda industrial ages of Japan, like smithies etc..
Just a thought xDD
So THIS is where Conan O'Brian went!
For those out there, I'm the only one that dislikes this song. I actually like it though. Waste of time? Yes. This song? No

A lot of popular music is vocal driven, with sounds from others that back up the vocalist's flow--which is usually weak, i.e., ANYTHING ON THE RADIO.
oh man, that is the funniest shit I read all day! awesome.
def gross but still funny.
Seems like someone is DEF smoked out...
loooool
My English? .... what
