Nine Dragons has been most definitely hit or miss. I love Chinese food but even our local places have been inconsistent lately. Thanks for trying it again for us.
It was nice to meet you by the lake in China. I was the girl in the scooter who thought interrupted your vlog as you were making your intro. I really like your channel and suggestions you make. We’ve been going to Disney since the 70’s so we’ve experienced our fair share of good and bad food. Hope you remembered me!’LOL haha 😉
I’ve dined here before and thought it was delicious. I enjoyed the atmosphere as well. I can see myself coming here again on my next vacation. Great video as always!
I'm so sad that you hated it! We seriously eat there EVERY single vacation and I'd be sad if I had to skip it. I get the kung pao chicken. Guess that's how you spell it lol. And we get the dumplings as well and absolutely love them! Give it another shot. Hopefully you will have better luck BTW, this is the first time I've ever commented. That's how passionate I felt about Nine Dragons lol.
Do you not send anything back? Just wondering. Also, I live in an affluent area and most Chinese restaurant's lunch specials (portion size equal to what you got) are about $11 with egg roll and drink. Disney's food portions and quality have diminished while prices rise. The magic has ebbed at the Magic Kingdom.
The honey sesame chicken is a must for us every trip. However, we just go in and share that and some fried rice and it’s kind of a lighter lunch since we share.
Nine Dragons is a MUST for our family for over 25 years. We always order the veggie rolls, Happy Family (not spicy) and Spicy Honey Crispy Chicken dishes. We always couple with fried rice and have not been disappointed. Sorry your meal wasn't the greatest - but go back and try these dishes - you will ENJOY!
Ate there once, and done. The tofu stir fry was basically just a few sprigs of cabbage and unseasoned barely heated tofu straight from the package. Thanks for covering this restaurant!
Thank you for going to all these restaurants and giving your honest review. Chinese restaurants are rarely consistent as it all depends on the cook. No two Chinese cooks (yes cooks, not chefs) cook food the same way. Like you said, you could come back next week and have a better experience, just depends on the cook. Keep on vlogging!
I love this series! We’re going on an adults trip this June and your videos are helping us pick where to go! Looking forward to your Biergarten and Via Napoli reviews!
Would not choose 9 drags on my own but years back when I took my nieces to Epcot and we needed a place for them to sit, eat and recharge it was priced right, easy to get a reservation and they were new humans for the rest of the night.
We were there last night. The Happy Family entree is THE BEST in all of central florida. You screwed up and ordered it wimpy so they tried to give you what you wanted even though the menu clearly says this is spicy. I assume their normal sauce was not something they could give you so you got an oily, weirdly yellow mess. Don't like spicy, then don't freaking order that item. Simple rule to live by. We order it with beef, beef, and beef instead of the chicken and shrimp. The beef is always, every. single. time, crazy tender and flavorful...I bet we've been there more than a dozen times in the past year. The lo mein noodles SUCK so just get it with the yummy white rice or upgrade to my hubby's favorite fried rice. We have dined at pretty much EVERY restaurant in Disney World and this is definitely in our top three. We also have several friends who are locals also and completely agree.
I really appreciate that you enjoy the red bean flavor. Taro, sweet potato, red bean are used very often in Asian desserts and I would say they are pretty comparable to vanilla but even creamier and richer/more decadent. But the names throw people off and I don’t think that they are able to give these flavors a fair chance.
Last time we went my husband had a horrible allergic reaction to his meal(no known allergies prior) the medics best guess was too much msg? But we have not been back. We get better Chinese food in NJ.
Last time I was there was in September 2023. We had a great dinner. I ordered Kung Pao shrimp and my husband got the salt and pepper shrimp. Great dishes and reasonably priced. We also got right in no wait. We'd go back again one day. Not our first choice, but we enjoyed it. Honestly though we dipped in there to avoid the storm or we probably wouldn't have even went there. Then it didn't rain anyway but whatever that's Florida for ya!
I would have sent it back and been very nice but told them the oil was the only flavor you could taste. Well and cardboard too. Just because you asked for the dish to be toned down heat wise doesn't mean it should have been covered in oil. I must say that was nasty looking. I would still try the restaurant. The table next to you the food looked good. So that is a positive. Thanks for the video.
I like the Orange Chicken at Lotus Blossom.. it's such a good deal and comes with mixed veggies that aren't Disney's standard green beans (Zucchini, Squash and carrots), rice AND and egg roll. It was a big portion and the chicken was tender too.. I actually thought it was better than my local takeout where the chicken is overcooked and hard to chew.
Nine Dragons is a bit up and down for me. A good experience I had involved getting soup dumplings and a pork belly bao, both really delicious🎉 But I haven’t been since 2020. For another great ice cream experience try thee gelato place in Italy pavilion 🇮🇹
@@wrightdownmainstreet Right?! I feel like it was a special. They were really delicious 💜 I also wanted to tell you that I bought these stuffed buns from Walmart, one has bbq pork and the other has curry chicken. They are really good! I think they are a new product there💜
We haven't eaten at the Nine Dragons and after this disaster we never will. BUT! We did eat at the quick service place there. I forget the name. What we had there was very good and so much food that we could have shared one meal. Try the quick service place sometime. Maybe it will be better.
Last time I got egg rolls from the cart, they were super stale as if it had been sitting out all day. I didn’t want to waste money so I forced myself to eat one. Got food poisoning that night it was an actual nightmare
Honestly, the food there is just nasty. Way overpriced for what it is. We gave it a second chance the last time we were there and it's still consistently gross.
I went there once. No more. My wife got a special chicken dish. It turned out to be chicken nuggets with an embellished name. I would prefer a run of the mill Chinese restaurant over this place. The server had zero enthusiasm. Doesn’t Disney notice all of the empty tables???
Kristin wasn’t holding back 🤣. “Oil and cardboard” 🤣. Great honest review.
Loving this series! Thank you for always being honest!!
Great video. Love the honest review of the restaurant. Next time you go back, would love to see your review of the chicken dishes.

I loved the salt and pepper shrimp with the spinach noodles from this restaurant.
I've been there once, and loved this dish. The one she got...I would've complained about. All that oil is going to cause diarrhea for sure!
The spinach noodles are good! I’ve had them before. Never tried the shrimp though. I’m sure it’s way better than what I got 😅
Nine Dragons is seriously underrated. My parents and daughter love it.

I feel your Nine Dragons passion Kelly! Next time I go back I’m sticking with what I know, the crispy honey chicken.

I am new to your channel and I enjoying it so much . Your reviews are great and helpful ❤
So sad your food wasn’t good! We used to love Nine Dragons, but haven’t been in many years. Thanks for your honesty as always!

Hit and miss, but I don't mind it at all. I've been a couple times and definitely will bo back.

Biergarten is one of my faves! Stay tuned 😊

I appreciate your honest review.❤️
Every time I would go there 9 dragons was always a stop. The food was always good the people were always very nice and the tea was so good.

Top 3 restaurant on property!?!
Yes to ice cream around the world! You need to try green tea ice cream in Japan
We ate there last week and it was one of the best meals we have had at EPCOT (we’ve eaten at most the restaurants)! You definitely ordered wrong.
I really appreciate that you enjoy the red bean flavor. Oh no! NJ has some fantastic Chinese takeout for sure
Great review!

Thanks for an honest review. Looks like I’ll be staying away from Nine Dragons.
I actually love nine dragons! It’s so good and very affordable

Hard pass on Lotus Blossom Cafe!!! I got gnarly food poisoning from their chicken when I was a kid 🤢

I agree! Really solid food at Lotus Blossom
Love this idea ❤❤❤

I wish they had soup dumplings still! One of my absolute favorite foods

But does the red bean ice cream beat the corn ice cream from Mexico??
Not quite! But still really great
Let’s goooo! Chinese my favorite. I’m excited to watch this!🎉🎉🎉
I love Chinese food too!
@@wrightdownmainstreet twinning and winning! That is all…
So do you tell the server of your disappointment or are you the kind of girl that just says "it was fine" and leaves?
Great video, sucks the food was greasy cardboard!!!
🧡🧡
How come you didn’t ask them to remake it?
We haven't eaten at the Nine Dragons and after this disaster we never will. BUT! We did eat at the quick service place there. I forget the name. What we had there was very good and so much food that we could have shared one meal. Try the quick service place sometime. Maybe it will be better.
I remember enjoying our meal here years ago, but it was basic Chinese food. Nothing special, but fine.
Last time I got egg rolls from the cart, they were super stale as if it had been sitting out all day. I didn’t want to waste money so I forced myself to eat one. Got food poisoning that night it was an actual nightmare
My last meal at 9 Dragons included hair in the food. I know it happens, but I doubt I’ll be back.
It use to be so good and served hot tea and had more options
Honestly, the food there is just nasty. Way overpriced for what it is. We gave it a second chance the last time we were there and it's still consistently gross.
It was a 1 and done for us. Our meal was not good years ago
Looks like the food got worse. Come on Disney, you can do better.
We went to nine dragons the food was horrible. I didn’t eat my nor did my two friends. I went out by the egg roll cart had two egg rolls for dinner
The egg roll cart will never let ya down 😅
I went there once. No more. My wife got a special chicken dish. It turned out to be chicken nuggets with an embellished name. I would prefer a run of the mill Chinese restaurant over this place. The server had zero enthusiasm. Doesn’t Disney notice all of the empty tables???
So, why not order some chicken dishes like your neighbors had? Those might have been good. 😊❤
