    Fortune means searching for a particular procedure on your car and finding a 1A repair video, because they are always the most clear, step by step without a bunch of extraneous nonsense. Thanks 1A!!!

    I needed to access the washer line in the cowl as it was leaking washer fluid there. Service manual was more complicated and unclear, nice to find a short simple video to help me fix my problem.

    My Haynes and other videos have you taking off the wipers. See you did what I was thinking. Turn on the wipers and then shut the engine off when they are up.
    Thanks! Very helpful!

    This was a great help! My Civic's cowl top assembly broke. Because of this video, I was able to identify the part, order it, and then install the new one painlessly. It was a very easy fix! Thanks for this video!

    How do you take off the two smaller plastic pieces on the side where the windshield wipers are being held?

    Does this provide enough room to install mesh over the air intake? Or am I better going at it from inside. Mice keep getting in my car. Thanks Honda for not spending the 13cents to cover that opening into the car.

    • @robwolfe8571
      @robwolfe8571 Год назад +1

      No, removing these cowl pieces doesn't really give better access to the cabin air-intake. The opening is still quite a ways down in there and it's a tight squeeze since part of the firewall remains in the way along with the wiper motor assembly. Getting hands and tools in there would be a nightmare. Of course, removing the blower motor housing from under the dash doesn't look any more 'fun'.
      I'll echo Grotek12345's sentiments: thanks Honda not placing a screen over this area and allowing mice to make themselves at home in the vents of my car. Welp, best be on the lookout for Hantavirus symptoms....wah-wah-wah

    Say, if I were to re-paint my OEM cowl cover a satin black to refresh the look, how would I remove the washer nozzles and wiper nozzle tubes from the cowling? I haven't had a chance to remove my cowl cover yet.

    Could this part cause a leak in my car? When I get in my car in the mornings it's damp on the passenger side. On my dash right up front though, it's all really cold, like a wet cold, can't explain it, but would this be the cause of any dampness?

    The plastic part he removed first just looks faded but isn’t broken. Can i get away with taping the windshield etc off and spray painting it black or should i just replace it?

    • @1AAuto
      @1AAuto  6 лет назад +1

      +Brock Barber You really should replace it. If you don't then you could have issues with water getting into the cabin and in between panels. 1aauto.com
