- A session at Perch Rock on Friday 13th. As we move into the winter, targetting rays becomes much more challenging as whiting and dogfish home in on the baits very quickly.
I will start looking at other species, mainly codling and conger, but will be still pursuing the rays with occasional sessions through the winter. The Big Ray Quest is not over until the line sings with the pull of a Mersey double.

The double ray quest goes on unlucky for you good for us. Don’t miss the cod run if it’s like our river it will be over by Xmas. Another great video good music and send some of them dogfish my way cheers Vernon.

The bullet tuna looks interesting 🐟👍 does it still go soft like mackerel when thawed out .would like to see a bait up and a bit more info on the next vid. A shop just around the corner has it in 900g bags for just under a fiver so not bad price. not heard or it before so top tip 👍👍🐟🐟🎣
Thanks Nick. The bullet tuna is interesting. Very oily and bloody and is soft when thawed. Still experimenting with it but have high hopes for it as a bait.

Thanks Andreas. The jacket is the Vass Vass-Tex 175 Team Vass Lightweight Waterproof Smock. It is a good jacket..waterproof and good for summer and winter (as top layer over thermals) and washes easily and well.
@@PerchRockFishing Thank you for your fast reply! And is it really waterproof? Like can you stand in the rain for a couple of hours without it letting water in?
@@andreasmich7835 seems very waterproof, no leakage yet even in some heavy rain and the fact it has been through the washing machine many times.
