- A session at Perch Rock looking for winter rays. A promising start to the session soon turned into a whiting festival. An enjoyable session all the same.
If there is anything you would like to see in future videos, such as a bit more detail on the rig I am using please let me know in the comments below. Tight lines and enjoy your weekend.

Well done on the ray Richard mate and thanks for the shout out.. was good talking you.. shame no rays for me that evening but had over 10 whiting and 4 dabs.. tight lines 🎣
Thanks Hakan. Was a bit quiet on the rays that night but not unexpected with that number of whiting about 🎣😁
A fish is a fish !! we have to love them all - even Whiting
We love them all but some we love more than others 🙂
Great video mate 👍 good to see the tip instead of the reel!! Plenty of time for a big Ray Yet !! keep going WELSH MAN IN CRETE 🙏
Thanks Simon. Still on a learning curve with making videos...and probably always will be..lol.
Going to try an experiment a bit with head cam mount soon...to see how that goes.
Nice Ray Richard still the quest goes on for a double. When you go fishing for cod you will hook that Ray 🤣. Shared your video to my Facebook group and on Facebook. Good luck with channel doing a grand job.
Thanks Vern. That always seem to be the way. You target something and then end up catching it accidently. Thanks for sharing on FB 🎣😁
Good video 👍always nice to see local chaps catching on the Mersey.must dust off my gear and get back into it,,keep up the good work👍🎣
Thanks for watching Gary. Get the gear dusted down and get back out there!!! 😁
Nice one Rich, some decent size whiting. Pity the cod didn’t make a show, tight lines mate
Thanks Les...Perch Rock is not a reliable cod mark, there is better fishing for them up river.
Whistling the lady's of Spain. Good choice Ricardo
It was subliminal messaging...lol
Awesome video mate, please keep em coming, enjoyed that!
Thanks for watching Rob 🎣
well done rich mate
Thanks Paul. Lovely cod you had the other day...well done.
Can you catch rays at perch rock all year round and do you need to fish at distance to catch them.
Hi Brad...you can catch ray through the year but tend to get caught less in the winter. Jan and Feb is usually particularly quiet for them. You don't need to cast far..50-80 yards should put you on to fish on a decent size tide.
