Whenever I find myself spiraling out of control, I turn to Byron Katie. 😄

I found Byron Katie this last week. I am using her The Work app, and read one book already and finding great videos like this one. It has been a really good tool for me, I am starting to surprise myself at what is uncovered with a lot of gratitude. This works. What is success? Contentment....I love that. Sometimes it looks like....do the dishes, make the bed, brush your teeth. The Work - it works.

I've watched a lot of interviews with Byron Katie lately and I have to say that this is one of the best. There's real chemistry between Jay and Katie here. Jay seems to bring out the best in Katie, who said some things that she's "never said before." That's a sign of a true listener. Thank you so much for this. And as for Katie, I always learn something useful from her, no matter how many times I hear her speak or read what she's written.

7 years ago, this human being showed me THE WAY to release my suffering and the way to find Light within. Thank you Katie. I'll always remember you as most shining star in my Universe. 🥰😇🙏

yes, there are certain teachers that, each one brought me what i was not expecting, didn't know to expect, but when they appear, they are not, were never, could never be a stranger.

The ego as a terrified child, can relate. As a child I felt mistreated, abandoned, betrayed, rejected by my parents. Now (after 25y spiritual path of healing) I'm basically the same, feeling all that but now from God

      thank you Jay.
It doesn`t help relieve my suffering as such, but it is a glimmer of light to see, that there are genuine and trustworthy people out there. Respectively ones, which have not lost themselves in the midst of suffering, which a human life can involve.
You are only 23 years old in this video - and the humility, warmth, genuinenss and wisdom shining through you, are of the age of a soul, which has evolved lifetimes respectively, which carries a great amount of light into this life. A soul, which came here to heal not only itself, but whole ancestral lines of humanity. This is, what I can deeply sense by your aura alone.
By speaking so openly about what you have been experiencing, I am sure, you give hope to and help thousands of people to see and feel, that they are not alone.
I want to let you know, too, that you are not alone and that you do this healing work for a far greater purpose than just for yourself.
      Makes me tear up.
Bless you once again and thank you.
I wish you only the best and will include you in the awareness of my heart.

@@butterfly4537 It's my pleasure Anni. I can't end your suffering sadly as much as I would love to. That choice belongs to you but it warms my heart and soul to read that my story & Katie's can be a light for you.
I believe in the power of sharing ones story to help make the world a more brighter place. Without stories there would be no vulnerability, as stories are the essence of vulnerability. I may only be young but I don't believe that matters much. Experience will always be my greatest teacher and has given me the ability to share my vulnerable parts. That's why I continue doing what I'm doing to help others. Thank you for sharing by you doing so you are also giving people hope!
I appreciate that Anni! My purpose is to serve, helping others realise their worth & live the best version of themselves possible.
Be blessed always and remember your story matters so let it shine!!
      Jay :D

@@TheStoryBox I am crying reading this.
I have rarely heard, that my story matters. Respectively, when I heard it, it were the same people, who would just say, but not mean so and hurt me brutally just a couple of minutes, hours or days later.
I am by now not able to trust anyone anymore respectively I force myself into trust on the other hand constantly, while my whole body says no.
Watching videos like this gives me a safe distance although this very distance in our "modern" technology age is at the same time the cause for so much suffering due to being disconnected from other human beings.
Additionally, I really do sense, as I said, that you are not only genuine and trustworthy, but also seem to have dived deep, what I cannot say about many
people, who have been in my life.

    • @TheStoryBox

@@butterfly4537 That brakes my heart hearing you've rarely been told that your story matters. That's why I believe it should be said more often! It's one of the biggest issues people struggle with is knowing their worth.
I know first hand just how mean people can be. But I also know first hand how to turn those negative thoughts into positive ones. Remember that some of lives greatest blessings will often come from the darkest moments. I believe that we should allow ourselves time to heal and I know it can take longer for some wounds than others. But you can heal.
I hope that you watch the other videos and glean more insights and wisdom from the amazing guests I've been blessed to speak with.
Thank you Anni! I am truly grateful and humbled! :D
      Be blessed
      Jay

Great interview! And why does healing require work? Are you referring to the Work of BK or work in general? Loved seeing your own wisdom, Jay, soar like that of Katie's. When you bursted out laughing at her amazing answers, it was clear! "It's a beginning." So much humility and wisdom in that...

Frustrating! I had been SO looking forward to this interview! But it wasnt one, AT All.
Nor helpful because it was PRIMARILY a 'inside' personal convo. Maybe if you were already well-versed 1ST, with each of their personal stories . As well as, incredibly knowledgeable BEFOREHAND re: Katies work (which Im only somewhat well-versed).....it wouldve been an ENORMOUS Gift -- And to SO Many More.
    Such a bummer!!

      @MHP1209
yeah, i know what u mean, the guy has the gall to bring up his closest friend dying, & then Katie goes on about her years of being suicidally depressed, & what happened to change all that, to free her mind & teach others a way out of suffering, & he wasn't even thinking about how bored u might be, that truly is a bummer, but i hope ur ok now, ya?
