So a lot of people have been asking for a mountain bike how to series, so here it is! Starting with my favourite part of mtb, jumping! But you don't need to be hitting the big jumps at Darkfest or Audi Nines to have fun, so this is dialled back for everyone learning their first jumps at the bike park all the way up to seasoned experts, trying race jumps, whips and scrubs! Hopefully you'll all learn some skills in this video and enjoy watching along the way, and let me know what you want to learn in episode 3 and 4!

Love it Sam… an area I see few videos on is the mental side of riding, dealing with knockbacks, nerves, fear, improving confidence, building back up after a crash, dealing with days when you feel a bit rubbish. How you've personally overcome some of these mental barriers - The zen of mtbing!

the slowing down comes by the gravity as you reach the maximum height and start going down. you should come slowly and boost the jump, then you are going more up than front.

If you can do a 2 foot drop, you can do a 10 foot drop. It's exactly the same, but try telling your head that! Granted, you may have to let your front end drop a little as you're more than likely to be landing on a downward slope if it's a bike park drop. You can do it. If you know you can already do 2 feet over and over, no problems, you've got this!

Ok, so table tops are a goal of mine but I struggle with them so much. Riding with my left foot forward my hip jams/is blocked when I try to do them to the right (the way most riders suggest to go when you ride with your left foot forwards). So I end up mainly doing them (or trying to) to the left which ends up making me take the left foot off. I've tried Matt Jones' tip of lying on your back and doing it but my hip just goes to a boney block. Technically speaking, I range passive range of motion with flexion, adduction and internal rotation of the hip. Any tips on technique would be great!!!
