    Neat to see MARSOC blending in with multicam. Back then, you can easily tell a raider from a bunch of guys when they used to rock the woodland cammies.

      I Myself AM more than sick and tired of explaining to Civilians Who NEVER, EVER Served in the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Space Force, Coast Guard ( Active Duty, Reserve Component, National Guard) that Civilian MultiCam and US Army, US Air Force, US Space Force, US Coast Guard MSRT, and now , US Marine Corps MARSOC Raiders and Reconnaissance Marines wear Scorpion 🦂 W2 Organizational Camouflage Pattern, which is the Army Combat Uniform ( ACU) that replaced the Battle Dress Uniform ( BDU) . ACU comprises of both the Universal Camouflage Pattern ( UCP) , now obsolete, and , the current Organizational Camouflage Pattern ( OCP) , and the difference betwixt and between Multi Cam and the OCP ,is that, in the former , one sees the vertical twiglets and shapes are dispersed differently, than in the OCP 🦂 W2 that has a darker color pattern , and, has horizontal shapes. Goddamn Civilians Who think They know everything about Militaria do NOT know a fucking thing whatsoever!!🇺🇲🇺🇲🪖🤬🖕🖕🖕‼️

      @@kostya09987 actually when you put it into perspective it kinda does. Think about it, if one of the attributes of MARSOC training a Line unit (ones who have more subject matter expertise than reservists) is by them practicing training techniques as if their students were foreign fighters. Then implementing those techniques on personnel that don’t have a continuous solid basis in tactics gets MARSOC to practice their guidance methods on subjects with less experience in maneuvers

      @@kostya09987terrible point, he left out how much money it costs, time, and much more. He just wants access to things he didn’t spend the blood sweat and tears to earn. We were having normal infantry battalions training at SOTG (special operations training group), to do that your unit has to be selected for a MEU (soc), has to be full time, has to be a combat unit that deploys and more.
      The masses in this country are just constantly watering down the efficacy of everything in this nation as if China already tricked their limited little minds into being more limited and even smaller.
      A “Line company”, for instance is NOT a subject-matter expert, it is a distinction between a Weapons company and a Line company, where the weapons company has specialized knowledge into various weapons systems (usually crew-served). Those marines are augmented into Line companies until the Line company has its own perfected version of the TTPs (tactics, techniques and procedures) that they modify to fit the needs of a more “rifle-based” unit of marines.
      For instance, POGs want high-speed training but don’t even realize they’re missing the major most basic components such as (not limited to) CFF (calls for fire), CASEVAC (9-line), and other basic TTPs that would allow your unit to complete the mission.
      It makes no sense for reservist POGs to have ANY of that training. You should master ALL basics before even being allowed to know about the higher levels.

    • @mh3225
      @mh3225 Год назад +1

      Theoretically, but it would be prohibitively expensive and impractical to change optics for every specific scenario at any given time. Also inside of a building you can just use the 1x on the vcog or just look over the sights like they did a la fallujah as the target is only 5-6 meters away at any given time, and in real life you are just going to yeet a frag into a room whenever possible instead of clearing it super seal style. Considering that, purchasing red dots to put on top of the vcogs or offset is ridiculously expensive for 4 divisions worth of guys for minimally measurable effect.

They pulled a few of us in a room at SOI and asked us if we would like to try this thing that was much better than the fleet Marine Force. Dumb 19 year old said sign me up. Best decision I ever made. Tough. But I’d do it over again if I had it to do over. And this was back when they were in their early stages of standing MARSOC up. It advanced considerably the 12 years I was in. Blind tradition is what ruined the corps. The USMC sat on the sidelines during the opening of OEF because they were too frumpy to have "special" guys with training lightyears ahead of line units because somehow that made sense. The corps had to be dragged kicking and screaming into the modern era and now they are more lethal than they have ever been. I never want to see a marine corps that valued time at 8th and I more than being operational for promotion ever again.
