I have a fond Memory of eating that mre, eaten during a pause after a long movement in the cold and wet It seemed the best dinner ever. I recall i put It in the frh while we were still moving and put It back in a pouch of my LBE, It heated on the move and It was hot when we stopped.
Was this worse than the 'Vomlet' meal? I find that sometimes MRE mains hit a home run, while others are just slippery sh**. (Sometimes literally). I like that one back in for Benny infantry School, my drill sergeant were assholes towards me. They always gave me the vegetarian the beans and rice stuff
no the worst MRE ever made was the Veinea sausages and beans. It was packed in a clear slime like substance and tasted like you were eating a salt lick... This BBQ is 1000% better
The worst MRE hands down: Black bean and rice burrito. Texture of Plastic, partially cooked rice, and play dough. Thankfully it doesn't really have a dominant flavor. Not even Tabasco could even hope to save it. It was not a pleasant experience. Neither were the cramps, and constipation it caused. I'd happily eat the cheese omelet over that any day. Heck, I'd eat a K-Rat over it too.
Quick question because I’m technically an MRE newb…Will eating 20 year old rations kill you? I know there’s a crap ton of preservatives but everytime I see you taste these things I honestly can’t enjoy it because I don’t want you or anyone else eating these get hurt (I’m a softy 😂)
Another channel creator got harrassed a bit because he called a vegetarian meal "woke". 🤣🤣🤣 I think he lost a few viewers but I thought it was funny. I'm a carnivore myself.

Based on the Tabasco, I think that MRE experienced quite a bit of heat and probably exceeded it's useful shelf life.

The salt trick only works if it's weak. if its dead there aint any saving it.
That ration is way past it's prime and was not stored at an ideal temperature. I am surprised you didn't get sick.
