You need to check your blood pressure, uric acid level, urea and creatinine level and serum protein level. For bone and the joint problem(Ankle Joint), you need to test CRP, ESR and Ra factor level.
For ankle ligament injury you need to get MRI of the ankle.
Ankle and leg swelling is a very common presentation. The most common is trauma in which there is either a fracture or a sprain. This video is based on non traumatic causes of ankle edema. Ankle and Foot edema can result from a large number of medical disorders which include heart, kidney and liver ailments. Also local disorders like venous and lymphatic disorders will also lead to Ankle Edema . Along with that insect bites and infection can also cause swelling in ankle. Pregnancy is also an important cause. Also if you have hypothyroidism it is also an important reason of ankle edema.

But I get pain on my both knee's when I sit down. I cannot bend my knees. It started with right knee and gradually started the left knee. But I don't know how I have swelling on my ankles. I had MRI done on knees.dr said my cartilage is worn out. Is there any solution for this. Please reply. Thank you.

4 days ago, while playing badminton, he had fallen due to which the leg was twisted and the ankle has swollen. Now the pain is less when walking. The pain is worse when moving the rest of the leg. And there is also swelling in the ankle. X ray report is correct please suggest any remedy

Sir it was very informative video I have this problem of swelling in legs since many year specially when I travel in bus or car or i sit for long time in office.I have done all checkup. Reports are normal.
Swelling is reduced when I keep my legs on two pillows at night while sleeping. Is there any Exercise to reduce this swelling. I do not have vericose veins problem. Still swelling is consistent since many years.
Please Start yoga daily 40 minutes daily in the morning of baba ramdev patanjali
If there is a symptom there is a cause. Check your renal function test, liver function test.
If it was injury ice fomentation will relieve. As many years this problem is there check in detail.

Sir, four month ago i did exexcise which was slightly strechful, after that from next day my both legs got swolled, especilly thigh portion and thigh muscle became very sensitive even unable to touch, knee weakened ,swelles often ,holding weight problem, the area surrounding knee swells on standing for some period, pain underneath and below knee, please suggess. Hi doctor, Hope you doing great. I have a small bump like swelling on my right foot top. Bump is 2 inch away from my ankle joint. Past 4 days I feel itching or something tiny insects feeling on the bed. My mom is facing swelling at knee n lower part of leg along with ankel swelling. All MRI xray Doppler report shows that knee seems weak n swelling is due to water gathered at knee. She also having bp tab is regular n bp is in control. After consulting dr for 8 months also she is not fine or face problem to work properly. What should be the next step we can do in this regard.

Hello sir, hope you doing good. I am suffering from vulvar ulcer since last month. I am on medication since then and taking heavy dose of antibiotics. During this period initially I noticed small bumps near my feet and soles which is red in colour and it used to pain when pressed. Dr. sb. I observed swelling in my feet around 3 weeks ago. I couldn't understand but then going thru videos, got some understanding. I found interesting reasons in your video and so I seek your guidance. I'm diabetic (130-170 mg/dl) use Sita Met 50/1000 since long, for BP take Extor 5/160 in the morning and Nebil 5mg in the evening. I'm overweight around 25-30 kgs and joined gym more than a month and mainly use treadmill. Swelling also started within this period. Please advise what could be possible reason for this swelling on feet, right but more than the left. Regards

Recently my wife had Sciatica problem on left leg side shown to Orthopaedic surgeon. Given medicines and then refered to Physio therapists.Taken 15 seating of Heating and Nerves stimulation treatments simultaneously doing physical leg exercises.Pain reduced to 60%
But since last 2 days she had having both the Knee and leg swelling problem with lot of pain in pindies.As we have shifted to stay with my son we cannot refer to same doctor again as it is about 45 km away from our present home stay.
