Good morning Rick, yes this is a great idea I like more surface area for the stopping plate idea. I just do not think that I would have the patience to make this happen. I have not had a problem yet with this, but I do understand the comfort of just knowing and depend on as far as dependability goes. You are fantastic at bringing out and fixing the issues at hand to make something more manageable and dependable. It was professionally done and it worked out great. I love this magnifier and the holder that we made for it is working out so much better now that I can see. I love your content, keep going brother! Always a joy watching you.

I like what have done with the system. You do a super job of explaining where you are trying to get to. I'm seriously looking at purchasing one of this for my Delta Unisaw. The Bessy fence on it now works fairly well and I put a Wixley digital gauge on it about 4 years ago, but that really isn't the answer...you are still bumping the fence all the time and making repeated cuts. I recently purchased the Incra 5000 miter sled and that is a game changer for sure. My cabinet rail and stiles are coming out way more true than I was ever getting with a sled I purchased years ago. Did you ever apply any carbon coat to the rails and pads of the as well as the other moving parts of the positioner?

@@jerrypierce8965 I think you would love the Incra on that Delta. They are a great saw anyway. The Incra would really up the game. Yes I took time a while back and put the carbon method on my jointer, planner, both bandsaws and the my Incra fence. I didn’t notice a huge difference just thought I’d try it and see. At least it’s done

I am a 3rd generation machinist and a few things to consider is you only need a small point to reference for a stop. Also a washer will not need to be square and cannot go out of square. We always use pins for repeat stops. Good for thousands of parts machined. Completely understand over analyzing, over engineering, and overly anal. The only way to live.
