Got my copy for 10 as well! I had a very simular experience as yours and its def one of my favorite games right now. Ive only played it maybe three times so far but its always on my mind when thinking about games that some of my friends and family havent played yet. Everyone ive played it with has like it and i feel like its just a game that has good mass appeal. Excited to play it again sometime soon. 😊
I had a 25 dollar gift card from a school event and just picked this up. I love the art deco styling of the game so much and the mechanics seem really fun!
ACQUIRE focuses on owning buying selling shares at the right time. BIG BOSS is more on growing the companies you own. Both are similar and different in some points. Both are great games and totally worth it !
Great video. I think this would scratch the "Monopoly" itch (though that hasn't come around for a long time) - essentially, this feels like more of what I would want Monopoly to be. Interesting that I haven't heard of the game before now, but maybe not terribly surprising based on how many games are released each year (5,000 is what I heard recently - wow!). Not a lot of games offer what you've mentioned and include a cityscape that is built as you play. Pretty cool. Are you an Amazon affiliate? I'm thinking a lot of people like myself would click a link like that and every little bit helps :)
Great point--I agree this scratches the monopoly itch, and I'm guessing it might scratch the "Foundations of Rome" itch as well, for those who don't want to spend hundreds or don't have the shelf space... I'm really amazed with how nice the components are in this game! Man... I remember looking into the Amazon affiliate program a while back, and it was really cumbersome to become a part of (I think at the time, they had recently added a lot of restrictions on joining...) I appreciate the suggestion and the reminder--I guess I need to look at it again and see if it's something I can set up. Are you an Amazon affiliate?--would love some tips if you are. 😎
@@BoardGameCasualChannel I did jump through all of the hoops and got it set up for my Pen Connection channel, but it hasn't done much for me at this point. It's been long enough that I'm not sure I'd be much help, but happy to try, lol. It's definitely something that would build and pay off over time, but nothing super immediately beneficial.

How much is this different from Acquire?

That is a lot of game for $10. I should keep an eye out.
Hope you've played it with more players. It's really good at four.
Awesome!! I'm chomping at the bit to play this one with 4!!
