Absolutely insane ! Got 34 yrs and still listening it like i was 15. Warning sounds are insane. I saw them in Belfort France performing this and it was crazy.... 10 years later, i still have chills remembering it !

‘VOL 3’ would have been a lot heavier without Rick Rubjn’s lame, shitty, thin production. ‘IOWA’ was a hard act to follow, but they nailed it with brilliant songwriting and delivered some all-time legendary tracks on ‘VOL 3’ that will forever stand the test of time. ‘9.0 LIVE’ is how heavy/clean their grossly expensive studio recordings with Rubin should have been mixed and produced originally. The proof of just how badly Rubin massacred SLIPKNOT’s sound arrived when ‘All Hope Is Gone’ was released and we were all introduced to it’s stellar, much improved, beefier production (befitting of the band). When I’m at home and feel like some SLIPKNOT, in their prime, I put ‘9.0 LIVE’ on my audiophile’s elite level Hi-Fi (which I inherited from my late Father). It’s my favourite live album ever released. It sounds absolutely brutal through my Yamaha pre amp, power amp and now unobtainable NS 1000 speakers. From albums 1 through 4, these dudes were metal Gods at the peak of their powers, with an original sound/style driven by the amazing gift of Joey Jordison’s songwriting ability and the astonishing range of Corey Taylor’s genre leading vocals. Before Joey departed, SLIPKNOT was a 9-piece metal juggernaut, way ahead of the curve musically and consummate professionals instrumentally … a fact underscored with every live performance.

You be forced to scream every day for years so loud the people 3 blocks away can hear you with out a microphone while also exerting all your energy into headbanging & moving around while wearing that stuff in those temps. (its hot af on stage let alone outside in those outfits), while the last thing you had to eat was a burrito from the gas station yesterday morning & you've only gotten 30 minutes of sleep in the last 2 days.
