Thinking about all your creative scenes and illustrations, I believe you need to publish a children's picture book. The scenes and characters you do are so appealing, colorful and imaginative. Children would love them. You can publish online!!!
I just finished my version. I had this video sitting on my laptop waiting for the right time. Today is very hot and humid outside, so time for indoor activity. Love your whimsical pieces.
Lovely! I really enjoy hearing everything you have to say while painting. You are interesting and very entertaining at the same time! Some things you say really make me think. It's like listening to a very good friend. Thank you! ❤
I love the comment below about children loving these - guess I'm still a child because I love it and I love doing them and playing with you. thank you.
Love hearing Tamsin’s voice there along with the kitty singing and your teaching! It’s a family affair and I love that…along with this charming painting! Thanks to all! 😊
Thank you Diane. I really enjoyed all of that! You inspire me to keep trying new things. I've just finished my first whimsical landscape. It lay on my desk for days. I so enjoyed picking up a brush or pen and adding more bits and pieces to it! Happy fun and stress busting painting 😊
Diane, I so enjoy your lovely videos. Only able to paint within the lines, you encourage me to to try new ways of painting - and actually add water to my watercolours... On top of that, you are such good company - and all the animals too. You make me pick up my brush, and you make me smile; thank you so much for sharing. And yes, I have cat´s hair in my paint...
Congrats, Diane and Tamsin, on 150K subscriptions! I’m so pleased for you - thank you for all your hard work and for all the joy you bring to your followers.
Inspiration comes from all over. Today I got my inspiration from a kitchen dish towel. I've always loved the design on this towel. Yellow sunflowers and blue birds. So today I slung the towel over a chair near my work table and had a go at painting sunflowers and birds. Turned out very pretty. Your houses are delightful! Thank you!
Dear Diane, love this. I especially like the new overhead view of your work space. Its lovely hearing the animals around you, such good company , i miss my little dog so much 😔 but your videos always pick me up xx 😊
What a fun filled video! Loved the running commentary and your kitty complaining as you allowed your brush to add whimsical detail to your houses, yards, birds, and flowers. It was a story in itself. Love what you pull out of an empty head….no over thinking. You seem to respond to what you see your brush doing. Love that approach ❤
This painting is so cute. I have enjoyed painting buildings too. Never thought to paint flowers and or birds at the top and I love the colors and fun shapes it adds to the overall picture. Love your channel. XOXOJANE
Thank you Diane. I really enjoyed every moment of your video! You are always inspiring us to try new things. I have just finished my first whimsical landscape. I just left it laying on my desk for a couple of days just adding things to it as they "popped into my head"..... such happy stress free painting 😊
I enjoy your painting videos-- but especially the talking part. Your accent and sense of humor are lovely. ❤ And I love the kitty. (I don't know how you stand that rooster crowing all day!)
Diane, this is so very cute. Even though, i am not into painting houses, your colorful, vibrant portrayal is very tempting. I just might follow this painting because i absolutely LOVE the colors. Thank you so very much. Greetings to you, Tamsin, your husband and all your furry family members.
This has been one of my favs. Love the primitive paintings. Your animals are so awesome. I have just been visualizing what your farm might be. So enjoyed this. Thank you so much.
You inspired me to let my imagination run wild and do a painting or journal page that's whimsical. It's seems like a simple idea with never ending details for just some fun on these very hot stormy days in the US. 💗
Hi Diane! Our new Golden, (Autumn) heard your cat and perked right up wanting to see it (we both laughed)...You are indeed blessed to not have a brain full of many racing thoughts all the time. Poor little flower shops! That's so sad!
Thank you for sharing your talents as always. It is nice to see a cozy little street however imaginary it might be. I especially liked the addition of the black linework and that kitty on the roof so cute! Terrible about the florists. Here in America everyday people spend so much money on their flowers outside just for one season. I do not garden, but I enjoy seeing other's handiwork 🙂Blessings
23:15 I just listened to WNYC's Radiolab's podcast episode on Aphantasia and found it very interesting. You might want to check it out if you are curious. They are a fact checked science podcast and interview neuroscientists. I learnt a lot tbeough it. Love the idea that you imagine through art and creativity. Love these houses. As always, lovely hanging out with you!
I’d love you to talk about how you choose the brands and colours on your palette. There is so much choice it’s quite intimidating. In Australia it is really more economical to shop online than walk into a shop. Is this why shops in France are closing?
Many of the small independent shops can’t compete now with online shopping. Our village has only one small 7-11 type shop now and the nearest town has many empty shops on the high street. Yes, it’s sad.
I’d like to have an empty mind at least part of the time… often when I ask my husband what he’s thinking he says nothing…I used to not believe him but maybe it’s true… maybe this is why I love watching you paint because the other stuff goes away…
If you read Genesis 1, you will notice that God didn't imagine light. He spoke it into existence, along with every thing else. He spoke it, then he saw it and liked what He saw. I like to think I am made in His image and likeness, and so I find myself doing things like He would. I don't know who these people are that say that your imagination is abnormal. As far as I know, we are all unique. Anyway, I seem to do things the way you do, so maybe the person coming up with all this "Wisdom" is the one who is abnormal. Just sayin! I love your painting, and I think you have an amazing imagination!
Well, “in the beginning was the word” - not the picture, so you are right, the world was spoken into existence not pictured! I don’t feel abnormal and in fact I think having indelible visual memories must be overwhelming and inhibiting to the imagination. We’re all unique!

One of my very favorite! ❤
Love hearing Tamsin’s voice there along with the kitty singing and your teaching! It’s a family affair and I love that…along with this charming painting! Thanks to all! 😊
Thanks Patricia! She’s shy about speaking in public but I tricked her into it this time!!! Glad you enjoyed my playtime!

Wonderful! That’s such fun!!❤️
Charming colourful scene with somewhat whimsical houses…appeals to adults & children alike…..as adults we tend to overthink too much IMO
So heartwarming to watch. It reminds me of little dollhouses. I just want to start playing. ❤
Thanks! Yes, they were great fun!
I have had such great fun trying my hand at this whimsical painting, thank you so much xx
I enjoy your painting videos-- but especially the talking part. Your accent and sense of humor are lovely. ❤ And I love the kitty. (I don't know how you stand that rooster crowing all day!)
loved painting along with and listening to the chatter and various animals. Thanks.
😊I am also a slow knitter.

If you’re interested we have some videos of our place on our small channel @fromthegarden which you might like to watch!
❤Thank you Diana 🙏 You take me back to childhood because your wonderful paintings remind me of old cheerful and cute cartoon movies ❤
I think it comes from my childhood memories too!
My dogs are running around the lounge looking for your cat. It's ok we are on the other side of the world. So funny.
You inspired me to let my imagination run wild and do a painting or journal page that's whimsical. It's seems like a simple idea with never ending details for just some fun on these very hot stormy days in the US. 💗
Soooo cute. Love the buildings.
I LOVE CUTE HOUSES LIKE THESE. THANKS,!

Very enjoyable as I am down today under a bit of RSD and CMP attacking. Quite soothing voice. Peaceful topic.

LOVE your version of the Mrs Bennet quote, creative already! Going to borrow that if thats ok. 😊
Please do!❤️😂👍
Great composition. ❤ Sad about the flower shop 😢
Yes!!!🥲
Cat on a hot tin roof. Tho the movie wasn't funny. It wasn't meant to be. Enjoyed your art as always. ❤
You are good at it..
All off the Shi
He’s just talking to you 😂
Why are all the shops in France shut down? That seems sad..

That’s funny, the past couple of days Tamsin has been saying she wishes the voices in her head would shut up!

$466.00 for the set of 10 paints here in Canada. Yikes!
