After 15 years on stage, in studios, doing voices, on sets, on location... all I can say is those 10 wisdom-inspired chapters were all relevent. No exception. I try to pass-on nothing but this to my workshop students. May they come across this video of yours. Thank you !
Anthony Q. Artis is, by far, my favorite instructor. I have his 'Shut Up and Shoot Documentary Guide' and his 'Indie Film Boot Camp' DVD set. He's helped me learn more about filmmaking than any other instructor, and I have watched MANY tutorials. He knows his stuff and he's a great teacher. These 10 tips certainly apply to filmmaking and are worth paying attention to..
after watching half of all of what's on youtube- i can count on one hand the comments i've ever left.. this is easily one the best videos i've ever seen. i'm not in film- just manage a small cafe.. but this is solid gold. thanks so much!
thank you for your honesty and the work that you are doing. It really is a blessing to have someone who cares enough to take up their time and effort to help someone else. Really appreciate the work you are doing. Thank you once again.
One of the things I like about your videos is your expectations are high. That and your experience coming through make your videos on the subject some of the best on RUclips. Thanks for being real.
These rules are equally applicable to building a software project or video game. Replace "director" with "architect" and "producer" with "director". Great stuff! Thanks for posting it.
I feel this is video is more about general principles that apply to every aspect of life rather than specifically to film making I feel the title and introduction promise more than they deliver. The training would be more effective and memorable if Antony shared with us the stories of how he came to learn each of these points the hard way.
I'm leading a video crew tomorrow as a Director and producer. This really helps a lot! I really want everything look good on the screen, but also I want to learn how to treat my crew members well.
Awesome information and very well presented. I have learned a tremendous amount of good stuff from these videos. My videos are getting better as a result. Thank you Anthony! You are a film instructor giant.

To say that this is an excellent video is an understatement. Thank you for providing us with such a wonderful overview of these elements that are so essential to a great filmmaking experience!
This is great stuff. Its easy to forget little things, like how no one works well on an empty stomach. Really important and helpful points being made here.
Loving these vids thanks. Sat down for 5 min and have been watching your vids for a while now. We don't do as big of production but most of your tips are great for small production as well. Thanks
On the Big Stick. This is the same technique I used managing escalations for a major corporation. Most of the time, I begged and pleaded, but twice, I pulled an arrow out of my quiver and shot someone. It worked.
Im experiencing Lesson 10.I am currently shooting my 1st 60 sec film. And I have a indoor smoke scene and didn't have a plan B or C. Now I had to cut the day short. And now that we are under social distancing I just can't run to the store and restock on the stuff I need for the smoke. Really wish I had a backup to this. I gotta work on Lesson 3. I'm a bit of hard ass.
This guy is by far the best doing tutorials right now
still is
"This business is all about who you know, and even more important, it's about who knows about you." - Well said... :)
