Thank you for this video! Picked one up that was grinding on the inside. Watched this video and was able to tear it apart, clean the sand build up, regrease, and reoil it. It works as good as new! $40 dollars and a deep clean and ive got a mint condition reel!

i want a left handed reel and the squall is one of the few out there that's not $400. some of the reviews for this reel are good and some aren't but it was good to see the inner workings. do you think this is a good reel for the money and is built for the long term.
you have an error assembly. when putting the Dog Bridge Assembly. you have to be careful not to bend the spring. if it gets bent badly it could become useless and have to order a new one. waiting time 2 months.
+norman downs omg this saved my squall I could not get the anti reverse to work and after reading your comment saw that one of the copper things was not making contact with the reel. I have been hours today trying to figure this out and now it works thanks to you. Thank you so much you are a god!!!!!

thanks. i did buy one and got to use it once on a tog trip but there were no tog but otherwise happy with reel but waiting for a real test
I have a squall 12 and Penn says perform a yearly maintenance, they don't tell you what a yearly maintenance is....or what too do....
Whats the point of greasing the rings?
Solely because grease repels water and keeps it from getting under there and rusting or getting in the screw holes as well

But the copper end is not staying in place.
