That's not the only incorrect thing about this set. It starts at the price. And quality. Why should anyone buy this set, if you can get the Mould King 12025 for 2/3 of the price instead? Which includes: a better model design (similar to the original Ideas submission), better brick quality, no stickers and full motorization...

It is perhaps even more rare that we get a train outside of the "City" theme, even if it isn't in the UCS style. While a part inventory for this set hasn't been made yet, it looks like there's a decent array of new elements in earth blue (sometimes called "Metru blue"), and a shade of gold which I can't think of the name of.
Me, my sister, my grandparents (my mom's parents), my uncle (my mom's brother) and my dad got this set for my mom for Christmas. Currently wrapped and under the tree. My parents had their honeymoon on the orient express. We had to split the payment because of the price. Absolutely absurd! Fingers crossed she likes it! Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmas or Joyous Kwanzaa to everyone!
I’m glad I brought this set. Not only it looks good, but as a fellow lego train designer it’s given me some ideas (ha! Ideas ;) ) on how to overcome some design problems. Useless fact, not as iconic as this train, but in Australia there are a couple of overnight, hotel trains called ‘the Indian pacific’ and ‘the ghan’. Happy holidays AustrianBrickFan

Da hatte sie wirklich Power. Herr lego, warum macht ihr das nicht. Immer muss man alles modden. Speedbuilt. Sehr cool.

Tolles Modell, schön umgesetzt, trotzdem nicht ganz perfekt! Der Speisewagen und der Tender sind super, der Schlafwagen ist ohne Gang komplett ausgefüllt... Ich weiß, wenig Platz aber da hätte man evtl. was anderes machen können - Lego ist ja Meister im andeuten von Details! Die Lok ist auch schön, da stört mich nur der "rudimentäre" Antrieb. Hätte man auch schöner machen können. Das Gleis in komplett schwarz schaut auch nicht so schön aus - da hätte man meiner Meinung nach für den Schotter eine andere Farbe nehmen können. Thema Aufkleber lass ich jetzt weg, der Mix zwischen Druck und Aufkleber ist wieder sinnlos. Alles in allem aber ein sehr schönes Set! Gruß

Poderia ser um conjunto excelente, mas ficou-se pelo normal....um "tender" com 3 rodados??? Ninca vi tal coisa nos caminhos de ferro....a locomotiva ficou muito aquém da beleza das carruagens....parece-me que está um pouco reduzida na escala..... honestamente
If you are smart, you get the Mould King 12025 Orient Express. The better set with full motorization for the lower price. And it looks much more than the original Ideas submission.
The version of Harry Potter's train was exactly the same, much a like. But in harry Potter version, the train was red. I love trains, the big ones to the old ones. Legos go way back, the creator was a genius. I love to build my own world with using legos, let's find out
I’m no expert but this set is $300 and the Harry Potter train with the same amount of cars is $130ish And while these cars are longer I would think the inclusion of a station in the Harry Potter set would make up that difference Maybe I’m mistaken but idk
Not with traditional lego train motor, it’s possible but with multiple motors, but it’s bad on curved, derails, slow, motors sticking out, twice as expensive for an already bs price, and wheels get stuck. In other words, no not really.

Sadly I have bought this tragedy of a train set. Let's forget that it had nothing in common with the original ideas set that we all voted for and were looking forward to. The carriages look ok, but the engine truly is a joke. What you get for 300!!! Euro are bad prints, the wrong stickers, between 5-10 different shades of the same blue and no motor. Yes I know, Lego told us they tried for months but it wasn't possible to motorize this set. Well we all know by now that that's nothing but a sad blatant lie. The biggest joke: after spending 300 euros for this piece of garbage YOU have to contact Lego to get the correct stickers, which makes the quality of customer service EXACTLY match the product My last Lego set ever.

I think 500 pcs per hour for an average builder should be possible, that means 5 to 6 hours, some are faster, others need much more time
