Hi Zara, thanks so much for your videos - they really help non-TS persons understand more about your experiences! I was wondering, do tics feel like someone else takes control of your body since you don't actively tell your body to make the sounds/actions?
I know I’m not Zarah but yes in a way they do! It’s almost like a completely different person living with you who sometimes just decides to say or do things
Always an amazing day when Zarah posts!! Going back to school finally with a diagnosis with TS so I can finally have the support I need so I’m happy and nervous lol mainly nervous cause I got straight in with exams but you’ve given me so much confidence thanks you
Wow Zara, it is amazing how strong you are, thanks for sharing with us the challenges you face every Day, I have a friend with tourette's, she always thank me cause when we were little Kids (I was 10 years old) I was her only classmate Who never got scared of her, Now I am 41 years of age and we're still really close friends, watching you at school got me a beautiful and amazing throwback ❤ greetings from Guatemala central america
@@thegrapeentity7662 what are you, my doctor. I have tics that are mainly frequent when I'm feeling anxious. Yes, I may have one or two here and there. But it's mainly when I'm anxious. That's why I personally call them "anxiety induced tics"
@@Mileslikesgreenhey love ❤ , i understand what you are saying completely! but just remember no need to be rude ❤, they were just informing you on some information! , i understand! i get VERY! anxious every day and it’s a pain , but just remember they were just informing you not criticizing you ❤
Thank you so much for making this video because I suffer from Tourette’s syndrome to and it is very annoying in class I get angry and embarrassed at myself
Hey Zara you probably won’t see this comment but I think you are wonderful and you make my day even if I don’t relate to most of this it still so reassuring to learn about Tourettes syndrome and have more empathy for people with Tourettes you make my day I swear ❤❤ Also, I have a question, is there a difference between anxiety tic and Tourettes? idk if I have Tourettes Syndrome or if I just have anxiety tics. I have this neck twitch and this weird head twitch and sometimes my abdomen twitches as well I think it may just be anxiety i’m not a hundred percent sure but just a question If anyone else can answer this please do
I dont have tics but my brother Casper age 6 does Anxiety is when your nervous you tic and Tourettes is in this video Sorry it's hard too explain since I don't have it and only know from Casper my lil bro and I think you could Google the sumptuous doesent always work tho to be honest with you but you could ask family /friends offline or online / followers on any social media Depending on your age of you are in any type off school /collage/work you could ask around or get a test for it
HI Zara, I love your videos, thank you for posting. I have a daughter, in music conservatory, with a lot of the same challenges as you have. You do a great service to everyone by making your challenges transparent and addressing them outright. Again, thank you! One question, have you ever thought of going to your schools disabilities office and asking for a private room to take your exams. Also, asking for extended time. I wonder if these would help you? Just a thought. Here in the US, it's my daughter's legal right.
So interesting and the knowledge. I can only imagine how hard this must be everyday …you are so strong and a beautiful human being. Would you say that the tics come more often if you are trying to concentrate on things’ ? My god. Hang in there.
Hello zara, it’s absolutely amazing how u are not ashamed of getting tics in class, I would be so embarrassed. And you also hage amazinf supporting friends which is great❤🎉, I also have a question. Is tics like a mistake by the brain? Or is it like the brain is being controlled?

Girl j feel you my tics just start to attack in middle of exams when my tic attacked randomly i said "shut up" to the teacher and one time i had this my hand swinged and i didint hold pen strongly it flew on the end of class 😂 and on exam i said another cuss people like my tics just bc its funny and i dont mind it 😅
Zara , do u have any tips to help with tics ive got tics where i shout mf at people ive headbutted walls and i also got like a shaking tic and it really hurts and people are being mean to me Especially in school
Couldn't they give you an option to sit your exam in another room? I just ask this, because my daughter suffers from high anxiety, and she took up the option offered to her. This is in ACT Australia
Isnt it irritating when you concentrate and tics happen? What do you do to feel better? Im a medical student and im now studying seizures ..i cant imagine losing control.
I say "beep-bop", trill, and have facial tics. Sometimes I just say random stuff that isn't words like "ishta gadoya yunta bowat goht boowa neeyo hayata dijonia byat ho-ta" and it just comes out really loudly and insistently. 😅 When I'm not at work I like to joke and say "Sorry -- first day on Earth." ✌️👽

the people who are judging are the problem, remember it isn’t your fault!
Please don’t. How can you be upset at yourself for something you didn’t as for ? You’re do your best.
Have your tics always been quiet or have you been able to adjust them somewhat even though you can't completely stop them?
