  • #Canada's government signed the most significant compensation agreement in its history in December 2021. After a nearly 15-year legal battle, the state will pay $40 billion for imposing racist and discriminatory practices within its child welfare system. The agreement, however, has been greeted by #indigenous communities with caution, as confidence in #Ottawa is weak.

A true example of systemic racism - Canada's INDIAN ACT?
The INDIAN ACT reduced Canada's Aboriginal peoples to legal status as minors. Therefore the Ottawa government of Canada set up a system of apartheid against the First Nations. This discriminatory system must be considered as systemic racism since it is based on laws and principles consciously developed and accepted by the majority of citizens even today. This reality, unworthy of a country that calls itself evolved, largely determines the troubled relations that have existed between Aboriginals and non-Aboriginals since 1876.
An example of discrimination resulting from this law: The INDIAN ACT does not confer any property rights on the Native people since it is impossible for them to buy the lands in the reserves, this one being the exclusive property of the Crown, Crown which belongs to the British Monarchy to which King Charles III was recently elected non-democratically, in office by blood ties only. This state of affairs therefore limits the ability of Aboriginal people to borrow and reduces their financial autonomy. They have different rights from other citizens simply because of their Aboriginal status. This form of segregation is a blatant demonstration of systemic racism.
And Canada has NEVER honored a single treaty with Canada's First Nations.

    I haven't met many.
    I've stated some things before.
How do you connect a disconnected population?
Go out of your way to work with them. Fund and tech them how to manage an industry and work with them for developing education for what they need and what they want to get into.
Some will see targeted education to the industries they have a good thing. Make the education broad enough that they can always connect outwards.
There are lots of things you can do.
Do it at the expense of taking over foriegn business.
Get Canada to take it from foreign and give it back to the founders.

Ahh all their land is in remotive places anyway. Letting them harvest/farm materials and develop and teaching them all the ways we know and getting them equipment and a base would be good.
THere are lots of places close to where they are already they could do this. They could even move and setup new housing there!! Canada is huge.
Just one idea..don't have to lock them to that but it is pretty massive.

@@Ducky_Yum_Yumtheir ancestors lost to someone else's ancestors. End of story. That's literally all of human history. Get over it for your own benefit. Playing victim and turning us against each other is what the government wants. That way we don't hold them accountable for robbing all of us.

Newcomers will have to pay even though they had nothing to do with Canada's past. Highest budget in Canada. Enjoy.
