Thi short film expresses the strengths and weaknesses of the UN Security Council as a whole., While understanding this film i noticed that every country in the UN can’t get along due to them being power hungry and secretive.
This particular short film talks about the strengths and weaknesses. It also talks about their three reforms to first expand the UNSC, second to have 6 seats on UNSC to be semipermanent, and third to have a veto being 3/5 vote on a resolution.
Abolish Veto...or make it on rotatory basis...or...limit the veto.... Enlarge the P5 of UNSC...include India, Brazil, Japan, Germany, SA, one arab countryas permanent...make total member as 25-30....for forced action there should be 2/3 member agreement....UNGA is above than UNSC...leave P5 if they will not agree...
I accepted what Professor Noam Chomsky said UN should have their own Laws. What’s UN do is to compromising the people in conflicts in agreement. It’s the Vetoes National have powerful too much than UN especially USA. Thank you 😊.
I believe the UNSC should have three reforms: 1. Expand the UNSC to 19, 21, or 23...as long as the number is odd. If the number of members is even, then designate the Deputy Secretary General as permanent President, who serves as tie-breaker. 2. Have six seats on the UNSC designated as "semi-permanent". Those seats can be used for four-year terms. 3. Reform The veto of the UN. Instead of an absolute veto, make it 3 out of 5 on a resolution. The UN General Assembly can override a UNSC decision by a 3/4ths supermajority, but all of the members of the UNSC have to obstain from voting. They can talk on a debate, but can't vote. However, when it comes changing the charter, the P-5 keep absolute veto.
The video discusses the strengths and weaknesses of the United Nations, something we discussed in class. UN peacekeeping appears to be serving the interests of the five powerful countries rather than its original purpose of maintaining peace in countries with bigger problems. Also discusses increasing the number of UNSC members to an odd number.
U.N peacekeepers is not serving the 5 .. tell u the truth they not doing nothing they don't do nothing they don't have teeth to. The P5 don't need them they have there own army.

The third reform is the veto of the UN, making 3 out of 5 on a resolution.
It 's UN mission, USA, please do not take over and interfere with your Veto by the no ethical Gratify but with Honestly. What we do to help everyone. Don't take your points of political to bring up to break the Rules of Civil Procedure, since what we are going do everything we can for the to world society. Thank you 🙇.
The U.N. has many problems, especially modern day, and there may be necessity for reform in order for the UN to properly serve its original purpose of peacekeeping not just serving the interest of the big 5 (Russia, Britain, France, U.S., China) and ignoring other countries’ problems such as those in Syria, Rwanda, etc. If you’re here for Saladino, it relates to class because we have been discussing a lot about the UN as a council for peacekeeping and serving the needs of countries experiencing conflict, and about how the UN was supposed to be a reformed version of the League of Nations but seems to now be falling back into the problems that the League experienced that caused its downfall.
My opinions on people the first. If’s there’s always the prosperity in living togetherness choosing by themselves, with referendums none of anything more meaningful . Hopefully for the Russia President next no more annexation please. I hopefully willingly for the future at UN families on upholding the cores of the mission, and respecting the international laws especially for the Veto leaders please supporting from here . How’s the people going on earnings for recovery in economics for their everyday life. Please supporting. Hope you Israel and Palestine was in Twos solutions compromising solidarity.
