you guys make such beautiful salient points. i’m consistently amazed by each of your unique perspectives - I just find myself wishing sometimes that the next coach going around the horn would take more time to respond to what the last one asserted before going into their own perspective. great job guys, I know episode length is a restriction too
Appreciate the perspective! Would be interested in a RUclips short or answer on what you, as coaches, do when two of your students have to play against each other in bracket . Do you give them the tools to study on their own to be unbiased or do you help each one to study the opponent equally?
i feel like for a lot of the cast it’s actually harder to combo fox because he falls way too fast to get a good follow up and he messes up most low % combos too. it’s usually more of a privilege to have that strong combo game on him and pretty specific
i feel like i need to play a fox to Light or Kaninabe caliber to really experience how broken the character can be when i keep in mind that fox is a glass canon and i can potentially kill them early with edge guarding or fox just being light, the character doesnt feel as broken.i know the fox player is working hard too.
By Ultimate standards, I would say he's cracked, but not broken. At the least there are definitely some stress fractures.🤣 Steve feels like the only truly broken character to me.
Absolutely but I just thought he’s at least a top tier, because he’s literally one of the few characters that’s has been winning since the beginning of ultimates life span. & That’s really saying something because of pikachu being perceived as the most solo viable character who also happens to be a top tier & still doesn’t win nearly as much
man i saw cdk retweet someone saying fox is still mid lol, (stubby range, recovery, something else idek??) amazed to see the fox doubters still around. i would love to see a debate
I'll bite. worst edgeguard in the game (at least mac can 2frame safely), worst grab in the game when factoring in range, bottom 10 recovery, featherweight, below average kill power. You will almost never see a Fox kill below 100. slightly overrated advantage state just go to ledge and you can't get juggled anymore. ppl think his ledgetrap is unbeatable because of light's reflexes but it's just above average. most ppl have to 50/50 cover roll and jump. he also has no zoning like if you're fighting luigi or kazuya most characters can do something safe that they have to break before they get in, but Fox doesn't have that, so you just have to hold your rushdown v grappler matchups. his neutral is top 5. But that's not a top 5 character by itself (e.g. Sheik). Would probably put him in that gatekeeper tier around Peach and Mario either bottom of top or top of high. Easily Kazuya, Rob, Steve, G+W, and Sonic are better.
@@letsmakeit110 i can’t argue with that myself lol. i can’t use fox to save my life, tried to freestyle combo but everything missed by a frame or two, really wished i could edgeguard, struggled to kill (both of those together hurt). but it seems like his combo game and advantage are top 3 the way others talk and i see him being played. idfk, i can’t do that shidd
@@problemsnearyou8899The strength of Fox is disregarded because all those tech chases, fast fall combos and so on take heavy calculations from the player having to actually be good at the game. Fox having to dance around the opposing player the whole match until he gets an opening isn't broken. He has no gimmicks and more importantly, no ground movement tech for any player to be afraid of. If he jumps in on you, you know you could trade with him and he'll be in a worse position as a light character. There are so many things I could point out that the other comment above mine pointed out and then some. If you think Fox is broken, by default you're objectively terrified of Captain Falcon
Just like players aren't prepared for Light with the right timing at ledge, Tony is not prepared to be part of a podcast. Bad mic for OVER A YEAR and also what is that noise? Are people playing pool in front of him? Get it together PLEASE.
Charles: **thinks of Fox**
Also Charles: **licks lips**

Yes. Why is this a question
Spacies are my favorite to fight against they're straightforward and not really cheesy. fun to combo/ edge guard.
As always love the content and how hype Charles is talking about Fox

Is Bam no longer on the podcast? Havent seen him in awhile

Good thing Kirby and Yoshi don't have that problem at all!
i need the episode where charles talks about fox for 3 hours, then ramses talks about shulk for 3 hours, and tony talks about megaman for 3 hours

Its not often that u see a good fox player online. It was only after i picked up fox myself i saw how good he actually is
Yes
Tony looks like he’s streaming from prison
he is.. they locked him up for being too ill

Kaz, Min Min
I'd say Kazu is more broken when you start picking him up, because Steve needs much more tech to really be broken.
me at 0:01:
yes
Wouldn’t it be broken if a FFer had good air mobility and a lingering nair than leads to death 🙃

Clearly you can point out their weaknesses (like any other character) but I think ignoring & not valuing their strengths makes no sense

@@YamashitaKoikeDS your favorite pro thinks Fox is broken . He doesn’t need gimmicks . He has neutral
great podcast y'all
Do Wolf next!
Here we go….pre fox is top 5 or 3😂
👍 👍
Instead of talking about the same characters why don't you guys give your opinion on what your player rankings are?
How comedically bad does Tonys sound quality need to get for them to do something about it

No no no no no no low mid tier
