What a genius idea to make a video about nail care on the budget especially now where prices are crazy high ! A lot of us forgets that there are good products out there for fraction of the cost! Now I wanna go to my Dollar Tree and see what I can find:-) Thank you for this fun and informative video!!!

Thank you! It’s for a sure a nice reminder that we don’t have to spend $10+ on a nail product in order for it to be good!

As a nail enthusiast who knows quite a bit about gel, I would recommend caution around gels and gel lamps sold in very cheap places. Uncured product can cause allergies and a lot of R&D goes into making lamps that will cure product to a safe level at every angle. Cheaply produced gels may also contain a lot of monomer, which can cause heat spikes that when too hot, can burn your nail and the nail bed underneath.
Okay, PSA over. Good luck with
    your manis, people!

I buy the L.A. Colors polish all the time - it wears like IRON on me and they have great colors for an extremely cheap price. Nucolor is pretty good, too. The Kiss Gel Polish chips on me in less than 24 hours.

The L.A. Color’s polish is great! Another one that I found absolutely good is Sally Hansen’s Xtreme (not gel) wear polish (not at DT), especially the black color, it seems to go on with one coat js

I enjoyed shopping with you and spending no money, lol, but I love DT nail products, especially the Kiss nail polishes. I have the nail polish holder and added the cuticle oil to a bottle of acetone only because I have other cuticle oils I love to use. I love my OPI glass file that I've had for years but hope to find the one like yours, it's so pretty! I want to try the LA Colors base coat, the beautiful blue polish (yes, they need to give it a name!), & the quick dry top coat. I found a small tube of cuticle remover last summer and it works pretty good. I will stay away from that nipper though! TFS!

I just got into nails recently and completely forgot about Dollar Tree! I don't know if the one where I live have the same products, but whenever I get a chance, I am going to check it out! I can't find glass files anywhere near me, but maybe they might have it.

I enjoyed the video. My dollar tree doesn’t have the polish holder and I like that they have the names of the item on the receipt. Mine just has polish. Lol.

In the winter I tend to wear fake nails usually the Olive & June, Kiss, etc. I noticed that Dollar Tree sold a small packet of L.A. Colors fake photos nails - they were a 12 pack only, but because I was simply trying them, I made it work without buying two packs. Of course no glue - but I have that in abundance because you get it with most nail packets. I applied the nails, then trimmed them down because they were way too long for my preference. I’m going on a week and a half with them and I have to admit that these might be my favorites! I will be picking more up to have on hand.

If I don't have cuticle remover, I'd use the cuticle oil to soften the cuticle, then use the cuticle pusher (in a pinch). Then clean nail with Rubbing Alcohol. I do love using a glass file. Your nails did turn out really cute. Loving the color. ❤️

I use the LA COLORS Mega Grow as a top coat - it does dry past the tacky point to a nice hard finish that is as close to a gel top coat as I have found outside of an actual gel. I looked at the bottle when you said it was a base coat and didn't see that printed anywhere on it - not saying you can't use it that way, it just didn't occur to me.

I LOVE DT nail polishes, LA Colors in particular. Names don't matter to me at all. The QD topcoat, however, was a disaster for me, and I tossed it - Seche Vite or indie QD topcoats are totally worth the money, IMO. The nippers, too: OMG, they went right in the garbage! I need to try that little polish holder!!!! This was fun, TFS 😻 Britt

You should put hand lotion on before you do your cuticles. Makes them much softer and pushing back hurts less.
