This was a very nice presentation, and a great finished product. I was introduced to leather working in school in 1962. You brought back good memories. Thank you.

Do you find it more sensible and/or economical to buy un-dyed, un-treated leather and to go through the finishing process, or to buy finished leather?

From what I have seen in previous videos J.H.Leather uses exclusively bridle leather. Veg-tan is more for stamping and dying,.
Bridle leather (In my Opinion) is a dream to work with if you don't require tooling to be done. Very little- if any tooling or stamping cam be accomplished due to the tallows etc that are already in the finished leather.
That's just my $0.002 @J.H.Leather would be more knowledgable and have better advice than I would though. Happy leather working. :D

Hi +Brian Chlan I buy finished coloured hides as they have a better quality finish than I could do, also they are more consistent in their colours. Jo

when you can’t find this bridle leather, you have to stick 2 x 1.5mm leather , you don’t have a video for that?

I but 3.5-4mm hides straight from the tannery so I don't need to stitch 2 strips together. If you do need to if you though, I would stitch the whole length of the lead and put your straps so they are best end to worse end - that way you will get the maximum strength of the leather across the lead. Hope that makes sense. Jo
