    Something is not right. There is no way in the Chevy gods you got 27mpg. I've driven straight Ohio to NY, didn't go crazy and barely saw 18.5.

    • @TheBlueGarage
      @TheBlueGarage  2 года назад

      Ohio to NY is all through the mountains though. Like I said, so many different factors helped us get there. Mods, flat land, downhills, drafting, etc.

    Yeah man those are your “best” mpg numbers. Meaning since bone stock. Your “average” is about what you are actually getting(11-13mpg). I have the same truck and same mods. No way it would be at almost 30mpg.

    • @TheBlueGarage
      @TheBlueGarage  2 года назад +1

      Right, it is the best. It was hit last month somewhere in the middle of Missouri on our way to Dallas. Before this my previous best was in the 24mpg area. The current average is so low due to all the short back and forth trips to Lowes and Home Depot, I haven’t been driving much to anywhere else.

    Sup what’s the part number on that air raid throttle sensor? We have same truck similar mods minus throttle space and I have awe exhaust on level 1 pulsar and my best 25 miles is 45.3 mpg. 5.3 10 speed. I have headache bar and tunnel cover stock tb height. 55 & 65 mph are sweet spot 72 not too bad either. V8 all the time too

    • @TheBlueGarage

      I’ll be looking into an intake manifold down the road as well. Idk about the level 1 though. I’m completely cool with lower MPG’s, the lack of power for this truck from the factory was one of my main arguments for getting the Pulsar, other than shutting off the AFM & DFM.

    How did you fit 35's on just a 2" additional lift? Also, did you calibrate your speedometer after changing tire size? Just hard to believe that the best I have gotten is 25mpg. Thanks

    • @TheBlueGarage
      @TheBlueGarage  2 года назад +1

      I do have the Trail Boss, that sits 2” higher than the stock Silverado, then I added the ReadyLift SST (2” front & 1” rear) on top of that. I did some slight trimming behind the wheel well liner before tucking it back on both sides. Fits like a glove. I adjusted/recalibrated the speedometer with the Pulsar LT after throwing my 35’s on back in February. This isn’t a regular occurrence either. I will probably never reach these numbers again. Very flat ground definitely helped.

      I’m not so sure about how it would fit with the stock 20’s. I contacted Custom Offsets to see if my current setup would fit or not. I went with 17x9 -12mm for the wheels.

    When u put the lift and wheels on did u lose alot of power and acceleration? Ride quality?

    • @TheBlueGarage
      @TheBlueGarage  2 года назад +1

      Not at all actually. The Nitto Ridge Grapplers (35’) actually ride quieter and smoother than the stock 33’s. The ReadyLift SST does tighten up the suspension some, but it’s not very noticeable either. Power and acceleration are almost identical, with better ride quality.

    • @TheBlueGarage

      No doubt, that number has a lot to do with the short trips, 2-3 miles at a time, plus the lifts, and 35’s. But my point in the video was the 400 mile average was through the roof during our trip.

    Your truck has no idea what your getting. You have different tires so your miles and mpg in truck are completely wrong. You need to hand calculate. My truck once said 31.9 and calculating the actual it was 22.4 lol.. so dude check it with math don’t trust the truck especially when you have changed tire size and stuff as it uses stock sizes to calculation

    • @TheBlueGarage
      @TheBlueGarage  7 месяцев назад +1

      This truck was calibrated with the Pulsar LT for both tire size and TPMS. I think a lot of this was a result of drafting behind a 26ft truck while moving cross country.
