Rose's ability to finish around the rim and contort his body in air was the best I've seen since Jordan. There were times were I had flashbacks to when I was a kid while watching some of his moves, as though I could swear I had just watched a mini Jordan crash the rim.

  • @derrickhizon8535

This is when 'load management' would've been very a career saver.
I love the MJ mentality of playing each game because there's one kid who was looking forward to seeing you play.
But teams should be smart enough to rest their key players in the 2nd half of the games if the playoffs are in sight for them.
Especially if they are primed to compete for the championship.

Two of them are minor though, and he returned in about 2-3 weeks. The major ones was the ACL (2012) and Meniscus (2013). Yes I concur with your assertion about D.Rose not being able to be in a team that will unhesitatingly render him the opportunity to rise in recent years. But we know that didn’t occur due to the immutable of criticism from the media that sort of muzzled the whole process of him being able to recuperate, corroborate and redeem himself from all of his misfortunes. As a result, Rose had spent quiet a lot of time outside of the league and he even considered hanging up his shoes.

I think if Rose doesn’t get hurt at all during the ‘12 Playoffs,Chicago would have lost to Miami in maybe a 7 game series instead of 5 from the previous year...plus if Chicago revamps its squad after 2012 I see Rose’s career looking like this
2x NBA Champion(2014-2015 back to back)
    2x MVP 2011&2015
    2x Scoring Champion
    1x Assist Champion

Derrick Rose wasn’t in his prime at 22. Yeah he is was a mvp at 22. But that wasn’t his prime. Basketball players don’t reach their prime until their mid 20’s to early thirties. So basically basketball players don’t reach their prime until age 25 to age 33. It would be scary to imagine what Rose would’ve been around that age 25 to 33.

I love Derrick Rose. I’m from Chicago and it was heartbreaking seeing his downfall due to injury. One correction at the end, though. Russell Westbrook was more athletic than Rose at their respective peaks. It wasn’t by a lot, but Westbrook was an absolute freak athlete and easily the most athletic point guard ever.
