      The 700 has a way better frequency range for different bass notes. I exchanged my 500 for the 700 after two weeks. The 700 is so powerful I had leave it at 0 though or it drowns out little things.

      In my own opinion the few upgrades on this new 900 ultra sound bar are worthless if you dont have de 700 module and rear speakers is when you see the big difference at least just for me if you don’t have it just stay whit the old one

      I do have the 700 bass module and the rear speakers but I would argue the soundbar alone does pretty well.

    Hey Daniel! I recently got the Bose 900 sound bar without the sub nd the surrounds.
    I ran the adaptiq. Played some content and found out the adaptiq toggle was off in audio settings even after calibration.
    I turned it on and found out that doing so turns the base way down, although improving the overall sound.
    Even increasing the base to 70 when adaptiq is ON doesn't really gives the base that I was getting when adaptiq was turned off with just +10 on base.
    I ran the calibration again but the results were same..i set it up carefully so that the mic doesn't catch up any unwanted sound

    I'm running the Bose SB 900 Bass out wired to my Bose 700 Sub ... is that not the preferred connection? What is the Internet port actually used for? I have it hooked up but no idea how it's used? On a side note, I went with the Bose 900 because of the ability to have both my Bose Headphones operate at the same time as the speaker with individual volume control (a big plus when I have poor hearing by my wife doesn't) ... the Bose 900 is the only bar where this independent volumes actually work.

  • @gary_michael_flanagan_wildlife

    Thanks for the video. I have been out of the game a long time now. I used to use the v30 surround sound bose and loved the separation sound. First, do these soundbar with woofer combos sound similar to 5.1 to the bose standard? I know there are always costs but is it close? How does the bose 700 and 900 compare to the JBL 5.1 (the soundbar with sub)? Lastly, are optical sound cables to the PS4 still better than HDMI? Or is optical no longer preferred for the 4K tv? Just wondering because I still use an optimal cable.

    I just want a good enough 5.1 wireless soundbar system to replace my unwieldy AVR/wired 5.1 speaker setup. I suspect I'll be disappointed by music playback, but I find a sleek bar and no wires/receiver to be far more aesthetically appealing.

    • @neverenoughtech
      @neverenoughtech  2 года назад +2

      Unfortunately there is no one’s system that’s going to be sleek and as sound as good as separates. If you have limited living space I tend to think bulky speakers (loss of space / visually intrusiveness) are probably not worth the improvement in sound over a quality soundbar. I do like separates in a dedicated media space though

      @ceetteet Год назад

      @@rsingh2631 sound experience is naturally subjective, but I felt like the 900 had way more bass when I heard it in store. It was actually pretty comparable when I listened to both at home even after turning the bass to 100. Yes, there was more bass with the 900 (not a ton more, but more), but the sound bar was super temperamental and wouldn’t stay connected to my wifi, so I opted to stay with the 700 because I actually preferred its sound (outside of the slightly less bass experience) and ease of use.
      Maybe I just had a glitchy one, but to me slightly better bass sound wasn’t worth dealing with the issues, slightly less enjoyable overall sound, or going through an exchange process. hey,
    I bought a Bose Smart Soundbar 900 2 days ago and I am very satisfied with the soundbar.
    There's just one thing that bothers me a bit.
    If I'm watching a video that has loud music playing (whether it's a movie, series, or video game) and someone starts talking while the music is playing, the background music will automatically turn down and when there's a pause in speaking, it will resume volume up. I'm assuming this is automatic to better understand what is being said?
    My TV is the LG OLED65C17LB, I didn't have this problem with my previous soundbar, the LG GX Soundbar, so I don't assume it's a TV setting.
    The soundbar is connected to the TV via the eARC port and otherwise works perfectly, I have also tried all the settings in the app without success.
    Personally, I find this very annoying and I therefore ask myself, is this normal? Or is there a setting for that?
    I'm very grateful for any information or advice!
