- Come along as we do one of the easiest and most beautiful hikes on Oahu--Makapu'u Lighthouse Trail! Though the lighthouse is in the trail name, we think that all the other parts of the hike are just as, if not more, amazing! We spot whales, turtles, hang gliders, and beautiful views for days.

Just got back from my first trip to Oahu and I wish we made time for the light house. We did stop at Costco though. lol
love a good Costco trip! haha
This is the one I will do.
Makapu’u is one of those small hikes that are so so worth it
How long was the hike? How many hours?
Around 45 minutes to an hour to reach the lighthouse. but you can take it slow and enjoy the sights as you go :)
is it free parking and entrance ?
It is! Parking can fill up, so we recommend coming early :)
did you see any cute dogs? people commonly bring their pets on this hike... I saw a bulldog being pulled along in a cart one time...

Unfortunately no. But the lookout next door does.
