The only people calling this a mistake are players no longer with the team and professional observers. The fans who spent an entire year watching Vrabel absolutely waste Henry and what was left of RT's career just so he wouldn't have to fire Downing know better. Vrabel refused to evolve. His ceiling was losing the AFC championship in 2020. Since that high water mark its been a steady downward slide with steady downward excuses ever since. I don't have any faith in AAS actually burning the bank to get a coach that can take this franchise to the Suprebowl, but I know that Vrabel wasn't ever gonna do it. Vrabel was a Jeff Fisher clone with a lesser mustache. Glad he's gone so that Ran can bring this team into the modern era.

Oh and Henry lol.
Bring him up and have in as coordinator or something like that in New England and when Bill is ready to retire, seamless transition to him being GM / Coach
Everybody is making kneejerk reactions to this firing but this doesn't surprises me one bit. Vrabel shares equal blame in the Titans going from the AFC Championship game (2018 Season) to picking in the Top 10 of the 2024 draft. Vrabel and Robinson (former GM) had total control. Vrabel failed to bring in new ideas and always promoted from within regardless of the abilities of those he was promoting. Go back and look. He promoted position coaches from within when everyone questioned it (Dude, why in the heck would you promote a position coach who has the same philosophy as the coach you just fired???) I believed that he was a good coach but too stuck in his way to understand the need to evolve.
Id like to think that there was some disagreements in direction between Vrabel and others there because there was no other reason to let him go. Ill be surprised of Vrabel doesn't get a HC gig someplace else. I can't imagine Vrabel wanting to go the Patriots as HC unless Bill. B. willingly steps down on his own for Vrabel. I can see how all of this could be discouraging for Titans fans. Vrabel helped the Titans seem like a threat and now with him gone and other pieces going, yikes.
As a die-hard Tennessee Titans fan man I don't understand what this organization is doing man I hope it's for the best but I really think that was the worst decision that they made
I definitely think this was a mistake but I understand why they did it. CJ Stroud. Throw in DeMeco, Shane Steichen with Indy, and if Trevor/Doug can get their act together. That division is all of a sudden loaded. So I understand the panic. But stupid decision.
It could be that Ran Carthon wants more San Francisco people and is eyeballing Kyle Shanahan. I think it's a mistake to let Vrabel go. Everyone knew Arthur Smith was out of Atlanta. Why not rejoin him with Vrabel in Tennessee again when we had an incredible offense! We had weapons then too that are now missing, but Arthur Smith himself is a weapon at OC. I'll miss Mike Vrabel, but it might be cool to bring in a staff who will let Levis run wild. Nobody knows the future, but I don't know who the next Andy Reid is we're looking to hire. I don't see anyone I know would be better. The team is basically all-new again next year. It's a rebuild and maybe with Ran's leadership, we can build it up to be respectable and fun to watch again.

Vrabel has kept them competitive except for this season. Even last year they had a chance to win the division. They had division titles and an AFCCG appearance with him. The players seem to love him. Truly don’t get it
The only people calling this a mistake are players no longer with the team and professional observers.
Stars lining up. Perfect timing.
I know Yalls Titans just beat my Jags and kept us out of the playoffs and I am kinda glad yall did cause it forced us to make some changes maybe not all the changes we need to take it to the nxt level that being said thank you for firing Mike he was a great coach and was the reason we feared playing you guys. Oh and Henry lol.
Bring him up and have in as coordinator or something like that in New England and when Bill is ready to retire, seamless transition to him being GM / Coach
Why should he put on training wheels again?
Eagles need to call him ASAP, even for OC. He knows how to use our weapons better than our current coaching regime
😂😂😂He is going to be a head coach for another team. Not an OC.
@@skysimba8953 yeah probably but one suffering Eagles fan can hope we get a competent offensive play caller
Coming Home Mike! LFG! WELCOME BACK TO N.E.
Mike didn’t wanna be there. ❤
Vrabel is a heck of a coach. He will find a job quick I hope
Yay for patriots nation !
People who are real Titans fans know why this happened and why it needed to happen
Vrabel and Henry to the Commanders + drafting Drake M.
Vrabel is a defensive minded coach, they need
offensive minded. The top teams have offensive minded coaches.
Washington and ATL need to call him ASAP.
As a die-hard Tennessee Titans fan man I don't understand what this organization is doing man I hope it's for the best but I really think that was the worst decision that they made
Titans fans get ready to watch your team collapse into a last place no hope franchise.
You know deep down Rich wants The Jets to make Vrabel an offer
This reminds me of the Jim Caldwell firing in so many ways.
Mike Vrabel should pick the Chargers. They got a lot of talent and a franchise QB
Chargers are cursed tho. They always got good players but choke or fail to live up to expectations every time
This is just insane 🙈
I thought it was obvious to everyone that Sunday was the last game for Vrabel and Henry as Titans
I thought that win, the Dolphins win and Levis showing promise was the reason Vrabel would have stayed. No patience in the NFL
MV to NE is a no brainer...Thanks Tennese
Vrabel to New England. Harbaugh to the Chargers. Bienimy to the Commanders. Belichick to Atlanta. I don't care who goes to Tennessee or Carolina.
Of Vrabel goes to New England and brings Derrick Henry and D-Hop, that would be epic!
Time for the titans next year to do what, the chargers did this year with Brandon Stanley. Brother is a huge titans fan, said this was a huge kick in the nuts!
The Raiders hiring Belichick only to go 7-10 three years in a row would be such a Raider move.
