Along with an update for our Rare 1 of 5 pastel orange Porsche GT2RS, we filmed an update of our Nissan Skyline R34 GTR V-Spec. Doug knows a lot about these cars from his background drifting and being an s14 owner himself! We thought it needed new window regulators, but turns out the connector wasn't connected all the way! It'll be getting some other things as time goes on, all of which we'll document on the channel!

This is the one car I’m truly excited about seeing on the channel. Every RUclipsr has a Lambo, Ferrari, Mclaren etc. but this is something truly special, rare and nostalgic.
A few youtubers have the R34 GTR, but not many the V-SPEC.

I don’t really know how you can say that? The DDE guys aren’t millionaires. They started from nothing and worked their way up to where they are. Not too mention their content has been really good lately. Like the old school DDE vids. 2 totally different style channels

First time coming across this channel. The guy seem like he knows what a legend and gem he owns but doesn’t seem like he knows much about the engine/mechanics of the car. Hope he learns! First guy was very knowledgeable about all the parts and Nismo rebuying low mileage cars from customers and upgrading with nismo to create z-tune. Hope the other Guy learn more about this absolute gem.

This has been my dream car since the first time I played Grand Turismo. I saw a couple of these in the Philippines when I lived there, in person these cars are amazing.

I don't know why but when I saw this I was way more interested thank the GT2 RS video...R-34 nismo is by far the best GTR and congratulations Randy on having one
It's had the MAFs removed and looks like it is running a Map sensor now. Hence the dual blow off valves that vent out. If you had MAFs blow off valves that vent to atmosphere can be a problem. Likely the vpsec turbos are -7 turbos with boost wound up to make 400-450hp odd or maybe just shy of 500hp. Engine internals could still be stock, but it might have upgraded oil / water pumps + baffles in valve covers.

Bought my R34 V spec 2 2012 & never gonna sell it. Its gonna run in the family when I'm gone :D Deal is that they need to keep it the way I've made it for 500 years, after that they can do what ever they feel like right would be.

absolutely stunning example of an iconic car , if your looking at engine mods , us aussies have been playing with rb;s longer than most as the rb30 came factory in a couple of our cars in the late 80s that's where the 30/26 combos come from . theres some very reputable shops doing some incredibly big hp rbs down under .

Man I've seen a lot of bayside blue and gun metal color and midnight purple color R34's but I haven't seen the particular black r34 v spec video with that nismo intercooler just screaming that it's a pure nismo factory monster. I have a mint Mitsubishi evo 6 in the UK and its 67,000 in 20 years and its so different to drive its so good and the young lads look at the seats and don't like because its plastic etc but once you get used to it its ok and its fast.

How's it garn mate, I've worked on a few 34 GTR's in my time (only 1 video on my channel unfortunately). If you're looking to give it that extra oomph, consider doing an RB30/26 conversion and going to a big single turbo like a Precision 6768 with some fat ass injectors and E85 would be excellent. See if you can chase down some Z-Tune bodykit parts for it. As far as your engine goes, definitely get yourself a Nitto oil pump and head drain kit. There's a company called MSM in Sydney or CRD that build insane RB platform cars you should check out. Such a nice car mate, well done!

Ti exhaust, overnite parts from Japan, takes you right back to the original FF, when they actually were racing cars.
My uncle has a Nissan 240SX S14 with an RB25DET making 400+ HP. We’re turning it into a full on drift car. Currently transforming the whole suspension to drift parts. Once it’s done, it’s gonna be the coolest day ever.

If I'm not wrong I think Denmark, Norway and Italy ( along with a few other Euro countries ) base their tax on the engine size. Italy had up to 2.0 liter engines same with Denmark and Norway then after a 2.0 l engine the prices went nuts. That is why for example Volvo that didn't have any 2.0 l engines made some special export cars for Italy and I think England as well.
However I'm not sure the taxes are so much based on the HP in other countries such as Sweden there it's the insurance that gets ridiculous and the weight of the car along with emissions that sets the tax rate, they pay yearly tax. Finland and Denmark I know pay a special tax when they buy the car, in Finland it can be up about 180% of the cars value and I think they have they highest price in all of Europe.
Another fun fact, speeding in Finland is not good if you're wealthy. A business man was caught speeding doing 23km/h ( 14 mp/h ) over the limit, he got fined. He was on his way to fill up his gas missed the 80Km/h and got caught. He got fined €54.024 that is about $55.000. In Finland they base the fine on your income, it is many Euro countries that base the fines on your income.
So fun fact number 2. A Swedish guy in his Mercedes AMG was in Switzerland and tested the roads, got caught on camera doing 290Km/h (180 ish mp/h ) he holds the record fines so far at €770.000 about $800.000 AND he lose his car as well.
Upgrade the oil drain from the head it can cause serious issues at high rpms. If it’s already done your golden. With all of the nice work done it likely is but have your mechanics check anyway.
