Nah melee is the ABSOLUTE WORST. When I can just fly around and do MORE DPS than a melee build. Summoner is top. 100%

Flying Dragon is absolutely overpowered and carries you from golem to moon lord easily if you bother to do old ones army

Kind of funny how half the swords in the game are just projectile weapons
getting some summon weapon is always gonna be better than not having one! even if youre a mage or a ranger

@@winton4496the summoner class is literally the only one worse than melee
@@Jordan-ud4qvit's just pretty goated, as you just have a whip (a pretty decent range weapon) that can have flasks. Then you can summon little goobers to kill most things with the highest dps. The only downside is, you're made of paper. Late game you could just focus on minion slots. Mounts also scale with summoner so you just have a lot in your toolkit. Just minions won't attack players in pvp

Every time I see a shortsword being able to attack in any direction, it makes me so happy! It was awful when you could only attack horizontally originally.

After getting the meowmere and star wrath from the moon lord you can farm events for the horsemans's blade and influx waver, then you can farm plantera for the seedler, queen bee for the bee keeper, obtain an enchanted sword and a copper sword to combine them all into the Zenith

Melee becomes good when it's no longer Melee.
Actually the first step is to get a door, a bast statue and some wires and then transmute them into the terra blade.

In line with how many of the best "melee" weapons are actually just projectile weapons, I like how Calamity (and probably some other mods, I'm just most familiar with Calamity) provides a variety of "True Melee" weapons that try to compensate for the lack of projectiles with other stats like insane dps and lifesteal. It makes it feel like you're actually playing melee while also making it more rewarding.
I'm playing ranged, but you're telling me I can get a Starfury with just some rope and platforms/rail?
Also I've died twice to the Eye when it was at less than 100 health so I doubt it's going to be as easy as you say. I have a platinum bow, frostburn arrows, fossil armor, and a bat bat for backup

Found the starfury myself in like 10 mins back then when i got terraria on phone and just ended up doing the thing of getting the entire stardust set and all healths and all from a all items downloadable map, it was both a big help and allowed me to have my own kind of fun, it was like skyrim's qasmoke teleport.

Ah yes, the Melee class. Which eventually ends up becoming the one class that does damage by Summoning Magical Ranged sword projectiles at whatever poor soul that ends up on your screen.
Your armour progression is WAY different than mine in prehard mode.
I go from wooden armour, to either skipping to hellstone, or go for the corruption set then hellstone.
I also kill eye of cuthullu with just a flare gun. The blade of grass is usually my last weapon in prehardmode for the nightsedge.

The evolution from just a Grass Sword that inflicts poison to Shredder 9000
Tbh the blade of grass is banger by it can hit thru walls, makes early night 3-5 blood moon actually doable without putting in much work to prepare

Pretty much what I did before realizing that there were classes... Also exclude most if the swords outside what you can get from metals... Had the enchanted and breaker swords for a long time...

As someone who has the zenith i do not remember what it is like to be mortal.
Just for a update I've beaten the game I now have zenith I have every boss relic (besides the Christmas event) and my world is 26% hollowed and 1% corrupted.

I just got into terraria, and it would seem I got so much to learn.i didn't even know they had character classes
There's 4 classes. Melee (self explanatory), ranger (guns, bows, and throwable objects), mage (pew pew magik), and summoner (make minions do the killing for you).
I’ve been playing for years and I’m still the type that goes in a random direction not knowing what the hell I should be doing
while mining for chlorophyte the first enemy I killed dropped the yelets, and the morning after I defeated the last mech boss was a soler eclipse and I got the death sickle from the the third reaper I killed, and a second dropped from the fifth.

As a corruption player player, i ca confirm our biome does not have good weapond and that we do not exis-

To find clouds the fastest way, you can look for small puddles on land, and 9/10, there's a cloud above
And finally you get the Zenith
Boomerang. Get them and call it melee to upset everyone ^^
Final step after Moon Lord: Farm all the swords to craft the Zenith, and accidentally forget the short copper sword

Dont underestimate death sickle. I usrd it one for plantera and it absolutely shredded it. If you are struggling with finding solar ecilepses, you can use platform glitch to get into the temple and get or craft solar tablet
