What's *your* thoughts on Connor Bedard? Would love to hear your opinion!
I'm also open to constructive criticism, if anyone has ideas or suggestions to make my reports better, i'm listening. Always trying to improve 💪
Is it safe to say hes the best Canadian goalscoring prospect of this generation (maybe since mario)? I can see him scoring up to 80 goals in his draft year
He surely looks like it! I can't think of a recent Canadian prospect who was as good of a goalscorer at 15.
@@NHLDraftCentral if Detroit have to win only one lottery it will surely be the 2023 ! what a price Bedard would be !
There's still a long way to go, but there's a few intriguing prospect that could be eligible at the top of the 2023 Draft
HERE BEFORE THIS BLOWS UP 👑
Thanks for the support Grav 🐐
Yo what’s up grav
Some of the best analysis on this dang website. Return of the KING!
Thanks Brett, means a lot coming from the one who first inspired me to start making those types of videos! You're the 🐐of hockey analysis;)
He woke up and chose VIOLENCE😂😂
😂😅
Bedard is terrifying, can't even imagine what we'll see in the next two seasons. Another outstanding video too :)
Thanks a lot! Yeah, he'll be so fun to follow in the upcoming years.
He's the best prospect in the world according to our platform.
Subscribed! Bret analysis I have loved watching him all season so far. He’s not just in the league, he’s dominating. It’s crazy how good he is ALREADY. he just got to the league. How is he this good already? One of the few, worth the price of admission players. CANT wait till i can go have a honour of seeing him play live.
Thanks a lot for the support! Can't agree more with what you said. It's just incredible to see him jump to the league, don't need any ajustement period and dominate! As of today, he's the leading scorer in the entire WHL! As I said, watching him develop will be a delight.
19 points in 10 games leading the WHL right now, this is insane
He hasn't just adapted his play to the WHL, he's dominating already! All that at 15 years old! As you said, this is insane! 👀🔥

I love how Bedard seems to be aware of exactly how much time/space he has. I notice that he’ll release the puck right before an opponent tries to take it from him. He will either shoot or keep the puck until he knows he’ll lose control of it if he keeps it any longer. Nice!!
This kid could be barzal with an Ovi-level shot. Would be an absolute monster
I like that comparaison, he possesses Barzal's pace and skill, but his goalscoring abilities are way up. Contrary to Ovi though, he leans way more on his wrist shot than his slapper. I'd probably be more at ease with comparing his goalscoring abilities to someone like Matthews. He owns a nasty toe drag release
@@NHLDraftCentral now that you mention it his release is pretty matthews-esque. I think I was fixated on right handed shooters when looking for comparisons lol. But yeah his transition game is very similar to barzal
He's the #1 prospect in our platform.
@@fantalytica9429 who else rounds out the top 5
His skating is very similar to barzal's. BC produces some smooth skaters wow
Yeah, I really like that comparaison! They're both such fluid and dynamic skaters.
He played against barzal in a summer league and was keeping up
Hello!!! Where are you???
I miss your great content!!
His skating ability is very reminiscent of barzal (very mobile, clean, agile,…) but do you think the pure speed compares to mcdavid?
I don't think he's quite at the level of McDavid, but his top speed is still elite for his age. I actually think the comparison with Barzal matches pretty much every part of his skating
Reminds me of a Way more dynamic Auston matthews 100%
Yeah, that's a great comparison. He's Barzal with Matthews shot
Wait, didn't Barzel also get the Exceptional Status from the WHL?
I don't think he did actually, Bedard is the first one to receive it from the WHL.
I love his drive, his scoring, and hockey sense. Really enjoy watching him play. Great shot, good head on him. My Leafs will not get him, of course.
He's such a treat to watch! With his combination of pace, skill and drive, he seems to always spark something offensively. Would be surprise to see him land the leafs, but who knows...;)
He's the best prospect in the world according to our platform.
Great video!! Do you think he could turn out to be a McDavid level prospect ?
Thanks a lot for the support! It's still very early, but I don't think Bedard is at the level of McDavid just yet (at the same age). Better goalscorer, but McDavid's pace was and still is unmatchable. But just to even mention McDavid in the same sentence as him means a lot! He's got all the potential in the world.
he will be a better prospect then laf and matthews i was only 8 when MacKinnon was drafted so idk how good of a prospect he was but i’d put him in between matthews and mcdavid
Reminds me of nate mack a lot
From what I’ve read the common consensus on the order of talent for prospects in the last decade goes McDavid, Bedard, Wright, Lafreniere
@@dereklasker5350 how about michkov?
Your voice is so satisfying to listen too
Thanks a lot, really glad you enjoy it ;)
@@NHLDraftCentral also keep up the amazing work :) love watching your scouting vids. and also I'm from lethbridge so I'm a huge lethbridge hurricanes and i wanted to know if your gonna do a report on zack stringer?
Thanks a lot again! I haven't had the chance to watch Stringer yet, so he's not on my list at the moment. I'll probably cover prospects like Shane Wright or Matthew Savoie next. I'll see after that, thanks for the suggestion!
@@NHLDraftCentral im excited to see your scouting report on Wright. the kids a beast
I like ton bon accent anglais😂😂😂
If his ppg improves at the same pace as Mcdavid in his draft year he’d have a better junior season than Gretzky
Just incredible! Can't wait to follow his progression over the next few years!
He's one of those players that's just on another level from the rest of the competition. Hopefully he doesn't get stuck on a god awful team that wastes his talent.
Wishing him the best of success!
well he’s going 1st overall so he’ll probably end up on a bad team
He's the best prospect in the world according to our platform.
Does a video on nathan gaucher is in the coming? If so i would love to we played together in pee-wee
Unfortunately the QMJHL has refrained me from using their footage ever again, as they said I caused a lost of revenue on their part. Would have loved to cover Gaucher, as he's a very promising prospect for next years draft!
Really good player based on our platform.
@@fantalytica9429 yeah and awesome shape to be effective in every aspect of the game, he also has an amazing compet level
@@NHLDraftCentral where do you think he will end up in the draft
@@maxgirard2543 Yep. Big surprise if he went anywhere but #1.
I still can’t believe he’s 15
He's the best prospect in the world according to our platform.
He's exceptional;)
when was a 15 year old last time leading a chl league???
I would assume he's the first one, which is truly impressive
Cough, Cough Gretzky 2.0?
where are all the bums from a year ago saying this kid was overrated cuz he played against weak competition lol
I think we should be very patient with young players before calling them overrated or the next big thing. Even now, although he's got all the potential in the world, he's far from a sure thing. Let's just enjoy the show they put on and hope they can reach their potential!
bro i can’t understand a word of what you’re saying 😂😂😂
Come on, Dalibor Dvorsky is clearly better, but Bedard is Canadian.
I was impressed with Dvorsky, but I still perfer Bedard as a prospect. That said, Michkov will offer some good competition for the number 1 spot imo.
@@NHLDraftCentral You see, I would go: 1. Mitchkov, 2. Dvorsky, 3. Bedard. My reason: Dvorsky and Mitchkov both play man's league and they have first points there. Bedard plays top junior league and doesn't even have point per game. Mitchkov already plays KHL, while Dvorsky plays HockeyAlsverskan.
