Bedard possess perhaps the most tantalizing combination of elite shooting and playmaking that I’ve seen in a prospect in awhile. One of the most 50/50 dual threats I’ve ever seen, leverages the threat of his shot so well so manipulate space and create lanes for himself others. Unbelievable IQ, skating, hands on top of that and it’s just an unbelievable offensive arsenal. Plays with an underrated edge too, can’t wait to see him in the show
I use the eye test. Even though they have similar points when I see Mcdavid I’m like “wow, it’s so unreal what he is doing at high speeds” when I see Bedard, I go “he’s gonna be an elite player who’ll easily come and make an difference no matter what team he plays for” but I’m not so sure if he’ll pan out to be generational. That’s like a huge bar to reach. I guess we’ll have to wait and see
Bedard will be more of a crosby/lemieux crossover that a comparison of mcdavid. Generational yeah there’s no doubt but no one for years to come will have the talent mcdavid has, it’s just not questionable
With scoring being way up in the CHL as it is in the NHL, it's not even a comparison. Bedard might be close to or as good as say Matthews. But he's not Mcdavid, not possible. Plus, just your eyes 😉
@@jasonkemppainen4731 Eh, not really. McDavid may have worse numbers but he’s a talent literally people have NEVER seen before. Even now, no one is still close to his talent. McDavid pre-draft hype was insane.
@K J I would take Bedard over McDavid. McDavid has the personality of cardboard. He has no charisma whatsoever and because of that, he's not an effective captain and cannot rally his team to win a Stanley Cup. The intangibles still matter people
Tell McDavid to play defense in the playoffs first, it might help. Bedard is at least willing to put in the effort and does the dirty work already. He has more to offer to a team all-around if he is what we think he is
Such stupid comment. If the team who will eventually draft Bedard was positioned for playoff success they wouldn't be picking at the top of the draft. Alot of you oiler haters are going have a real hard time if they go on and win it all, which isn't out of the realm of possibility.

Would love that but we don’t “need” him to return to cup contender status if that’s what you’re referring to. He’d undoubtedly be a massive cherry on top to an absolutely stacked prospect pool, but our future is set with or without him. @@matthewkabel6246 meh to be honest there core right now is pretty bad. Putting up points because they have zero depth. Huge minus in face offs, penalties, and in plus minus. CONNOR BEDARD IS THE BEST PROSPECT TO EVER ENTER THE NHL. YES, EVEN BETTER THAN MCDAVID! THE NUMBERS PROVE IT!
What surprised me was Svozil with 13 points in 7 playoff games as a D man. Other than that it's Connor doing Conner stuff
Literally just pass it to bedard and you get a free point
