Excellent review. The weight factor is definitely a factor for time and ease of use for hedge trimmer consideration. I already have the 18v Makita platform so the features and quality of this new model you pointed out sold me. Thank you
Picked up the 36v string trimmer (the 2 handle one), and the 36v hedge trimmer. After using my 36v chain saw for a year - I’m super impressed with the dual LXT range.
Just ordered this DUH602 and the DUN600 pole hedge trimmer, i was considering these or Stihl, but since i’ve been on the 18v platform for a while now Makita seemed the right choice for now, i’m maily gonna use it for my own purposes and some side hustle in my neighborhood to make an extra buck.
@@Rellikman I don't know much about it just commentating on this video. I see some manufacturers are doing 60v tools so the weight will make the tool quite heavy to use. I like the range of makita tools.
So happy that i waited for the new model with the 75 cm bar. I use it very much for over a year now. Best hedge trimmer i have.

Thanks for the detailed review, I’m ordering one right now!
Always great getting new tools but it will take something very special to make me switch from my Husqvarna 522HDR75X!
So 4yrs in, are you still happy with the 602, and recommend it? I am considering 602 or 741 (60cm vs 75 cm blade). Pft ;-)
Thank you for this nice review !
Which one is better?
Price pls
Really great review!! Thank you
In UK We seam to have DUH601Z, do you know diff with DUH602Z, thanks
The blade of 601 is a new design, and the blade of 602 is a traditional design
@@m99yen thanks very much. Dan
@@m99yen Thanks very much !!!!! Now I know
What you have to take into account is the older model blades are not brand new and have most likely never been sharpened
The new ones spin 4400spm vs the old ones do 3600spm
@@electric6877 3 speed settings with the fastest speed running the batts down quick
Does anyone ever bother rotating the handle?
Thank you for your review
Hi, Can you tell me which one is the winner of the test?
Makita is the strongest, but husqvarna has the best weight distribution.
I prefer the husqvarna
Grande 👏👏👏
What are the run times like with my husqvarna I get nearly 4 hrs none stop.
I heard that on full speed the 5 ah only last about 45 mins
DUH!!!😂😂😂
when show the power over Loads then how to stated
Full speed too
You look like you struggled more with the single battery hedger on your passes over the hedge. Looked like you got hung up....
36v would have a bit more torque
@@zarrow50 the 36v has shorter blades to help it clip in smaller bite requiring less torque. I’m interested to see what your blades on a 36v would do.
