I swear, I've watched 4 different videos and they ALL showed that G35 failing at that exact same spot! Design flaw. Your video, out of 5 I've watched, shows the best close ups on the steps. Good job. You made the video like you were showing a friend--simple and clear. And you are the only person to remind to bleed the bleeder valve, too!
This job is definitely doable but I would not call it easy. Also you need to transfer over your 4 little rubber mounts to the new rad to keep it all tight.
Thank you for making this easy and straight forward and condensed it into a nice n short nutshell of a video :) This is def by far the best video out there on this subject ; & I've seen em all. Thanks and well done!!! 👏
These next few steps will allow you to have little to no air to bleed/purge after filling coolant.... 1- It's best to unscrew(phillips) the bleeder valve totally off before re-filling the coolant. 2- Slowly fill in coolant and keep an eye on the bleeder valve. 3- As soon as you see coolant coming out of the valve stop filling and replace the screw for the bleeder valve and tighten till it just snug (don't over tighten, you'll strip or break plastic screw) 4- Keep fill nozzle in radiator and now start the bleeding process with heater on and revving engine for about 10-15 seconds 5- Squeeze top radiator hose a few times, this helps release any air trapped in system(wear gloves, hose will be pretty warm) You'll see coolant level going down as air escapes so just refill till top 6- Repeat 4 and 5 till the thermostat opens(you'll know it's open when bottom radiator hose is just as hot as the top And mozzarella! You're done! I know this was a year ago but hope it helps anyone watching in the future. And nice job on the video guys! Cheers!
so when i tried to take my radiator out it was basically connected to metal tubes on the drivers side. I have a 2006 sedan btw. The radiator i brought said it would fit this but i’m stuck on getting the actual radiator out any suggestions?
I want to know how the transmission oil do I need to refill because when you take off the radiator they have two small valves is transmission oil right can you tell about that
@@CastellanosMotorSports No, the drain plug is at the both right corner of it . Just wondering if the plug comes with it. It’s where the coolant comes out if you wanna even drain and clean your coolant
I have 07 g35 I did a coolant flush after purchasing the car & did the bleed but the car overheats when the ac is on I was told it could be bleeded wrong or the radiator is dirty ?
@@CastellanosMotorSports no clue man I've had two g35 prior to this one and never had any issues. But this 03 has been giving me trouble. But I got a new radiator comming in.
@@CastellanosMotorSports question bro I replaced it but it still over heats. It broke my heater valve bleed pressure release. Even when I let the air out.
Need your help, is the AC lines connected to the stock radiator in any way to keep u from replacing it? I ask cause i went to the JunkYard to find a decent replacement cause mine is leaking. I noticed AC lines connected to it which kept me from removing it. Was i missing something u didn't show in video?
The condenser has tabs at the bottom that sit in plastic shelves of the radiator. It's honestly not very easy to get the condenser tabs up out of the slots, neither unit wants to move up or down much. You must separate the two to remove the radiator.
A.C Production hmm okay. That’s only thing that scares me. I’ve seen say that the 5at has a trans cooler on it and will have to plug it up or fill some at fluid. I just have a base model sedan so hopefully it’s just simple as yours was
@@CobHes when you go to unplug your ac cooler lines and see atf coming out, use a aluminum tray or whatever you have on hand to catch the fluid, measure how much and then top off what you loss (with the right atf) or you can do a full flush on your atf
Mauricio Blanco Drive around for a little with the heater full blast if the car overheats or gets too hot it’s probably a leak, if not you’re probably fine just keep an eye on it 👍
Bad video, they left out a very important detail! The two small hoses on the lower part of the radiator are for cooling transmission oil. If you disconnect them you will drain the transmission oil!!!

I can confirm mines crack on the same spot. But I bought a aluminum radiator instead of the oem one.

The only step I would add is to jack the car up as high as possible on the front end
Does the car need to be running

Did u have to take the plastic shield under the car off to get to the bottom hose
No

Good shit. When we unscrew the bleeder valve does the car have to be running?
Yes
Hey bro, thx for the video
complementing if i should just take it to the shop or save money and try this myself
i flushed my radiator fluid and next thing i know i supposedly need to replace the whole radiator. i feel like i messed it up smh 🤦🏽♂️😭

It should be a little button try using a flathead screwdriver to push it
You can also use the screwdriver to pry it off gently
