shelby you are such a role model for me! I've been watching you for years even during your break i would go back and watch old videos for inspo. Can you please do a updated pantry/freezer tour? Im really trying to focus on my pantry stash this year
I am so happy you are back. Really missed you and hope you are doing well, because you look amazing . I think you are one of the best “chefs” on RUclips. Please continue to post your wonderful videos.
Oh Shelby! I hope you will show us some of your freeze drying hints, tips, tricks. I know you have a wealth of information in that department! ❤🎉 Continuing to celebrate your return !!
So glad you’re back! I found your channel a few years back; I loved your all day grocery haul shopping, and weekly food menu videos. Like many channels, people disappeared during the pandemic, but we were always hopeful they’d return 🙏🏻 Welcome back !!
Hi this is Mary . Guess the freeze dryer is new to use, can you tell us how your garden worked out, your new guest area in the barn. How are Ken and your sons?
My favorite it Chinese take out, but we live out in the country, so rarely get to have it. I’ll most definitely try your recipe! Hoping to see videos on freeze drying and annual stock up hauls in the future. We sure missed you! So glad you’re feeling better. ❤
I was just thinking the same thing. It is a trek into town. Gonna try this soon. My question is about the jar you used to sprout. Looks like a blacked out jar. What is it?
Yum! I’ve been teaching myself to cook more Asian cuisine at home so this is going in the rotation soon! You’re back on a mission and I’m here for it ❤❤❤
You Shelly are a genius..watching your pantry, your love for cooking gives me so much joy..Been waiting for your comeback for the longest time..Love all the way from India
I can't say how much you've been missed and are loved by all of us Shelby. Brings joy to my heart to see your beauitful smile and face. Hope all is well with your family. Love shirley girl!!from Washington state ❤️ 🌲
Excellent !! love that YOU are doing the pantry challenge I adore you and all you bring to your channel, I find your voice so comforting and you excel at explaining what you are doing, the process, the tips all of it !! I do compound butter because of you, from videos from yrs ago. Of course I have learned so much more but wanted to share that bit lol ! Cheers, ok MY mouth dropped open at the mung beans trick, I have never seen that in my life! Thank you for that as well :)))
Oh I love you have been freeze drying. How exciting to see all those mushrooms! I am sure you have done other things hope to see them soon. I sprout seeds as well, I notice your jar is dark covered and that the mung beans look so perfect. Does covering the jar help for mung beans? My gosh the home made lomein noodles that is incredible. Your patience with things like this is incredible. Oh my gosh that looks so so amazing. My mouth is watering. hugs
I love the stir fry type dishes because you don’t need a lot of anything, just a little of a few things and you can make enough to feed the whole family!
🌺 Aloha Shelby, Delish…😋. I love stir fry noodles, it’s a must do! Mahalo (Thank you) for making my day. 😊 I would love to have a dried food pantry just like you. Someday! ☺️ I’m so happy to be watching you, you are so beautifully talented. 😘❤️
So excited for this video!! You are so inspirational and make me want to get out my dehydrator and get to experimenting! I’m working on buying a freeze dryer for my long term pantry!
Hello Shelby! The Shaq waffles sound amazing. My daughter had a freeze dryer and she is always freeze drying something. She does the freeze dried foods and I do the canning.
Shelby how did you learn all of this? Planting and growing all these different kinds of vegetables? Freeze drying and storing all of them? Learning how to cut each veggie the best possible way. You mentioned your mom making fresh pasta and her stretching the noodles. Was she a chef? Or was it just something HER mom passed down? It’s amazing to me all the skills you and your husband have. Even beekeeping and getting and storing your own honey. I know you guys have a lot of land to grow orchards and gardens. But you also have a big family. Have you always cooked like this from scratch? Even when your sons were little? Are you self taught? I’m just so impressed. I bet every single meal you prepare is scrumptious. And healthy. Heck you make your own lard with your own pigs. 🤯🤯🤯
When I first got married I couldn't boil water hahahah. My grandma had 12 kids (my mom is the youngest) and during the depression she took in 17 kids from three families while the parents went to the city to look for work. My grandma was a wonderful cook and passed it on to my mom. I never really learned to cook because our family is so large, there were always Aunties, grandmas, and older cousins cooking meals in the kitchen. Think of that movie, My Big Fat Greek Wedding....Ken is an only child LOL After I got married I slowly learned from the lady's in my family.
@@TheQueensCabinet they taught you so much. Honestly I feel like you should write a book, but not only the cooking part, but tell the reader how you planted them, how long it took to harvest the plants. Or make chapters dedicated to each thing. Planting and harvesting. Beekeeping and harvesting the honey. Pig keeping and harvesting the meat and making your own lard. I remember you planting the orchards. And then the art of freeze drying. And what freeze dries well and then reconstituting it. You could even teach people about shopping yearly and running freezers like you guys do. And then include your favorite recipes, from super easy to middle ground to show stopper. So many people are looking into homesteading. And this could teach so many people different skills. You know how to do everything. I’m 63 years old and can barely cook anything.
One of my goals this year is to use some of my dehydrated foods. I need to do sprouting again. Used to do alfalfa sprouts in a jar. So easy. You are an inspiration 😎
Hi Shelby! My mouth was watering, this looks amazing. We love Chinese food. Do you have a good recipe for Mongolian beef or General Taos chicken? Have a blessed weekend!
Shelby I would like to know how you do all the things you do! I cook homemade but not to the extent that you do. I would like you to let us know how you do it all! You’re amazing!💕
I know this probably sounds like a silly question, but how are you getting freeze dried cubes. Are you putting an ice cube tray right into your freeze dryer? I never heard of that didnt know I could do that
I have tried a few times to sprout mung beans since watching this video. Mine have never gotten to the stage you have. I've had them stop growing after a day or two. I have also had them go moldy. I am using a sprouting lid and following directions. Any idea what I am doing wrong?
